This is the person I targeted for the Packers DC position.

He runs sort of that hybrid 4-3 & 3-4 right? Would be a good fit for the bulk of our current personnel!

Even though Chargers’ DC Gus Bradley’s contract expired today, Packers have requested permission to interview him for their DC job, per league source.

So I'm guessing this is old news and that the Packers asked to interview him around the same time they asked to interview the Bears and Lions DC and the Packers got turned down on all of them because they were currently under contract.

But now Bradley and Fangio can talk with any team, as they're free agents.

Of course I'm sure he mixed in some man coverage but I thought that was manly as a change up to surprise and catch offenses off guard.

Three times the Chargers were in prime position to select a player to fit Bradley's cover-3 defense, and three times the Chargers picked offensive players.

And Bradley seemed to be suggesting Hayward played press man coverage last year, while asking him to do now is different.

In the Cover Three ... the CBs play the verticals, making sure no one gets deeper than them on the outside third of the field... but in the Seahawks/Bradley system, they would often start with pressing the WRs before dropping... but the different is they don't follow a guy a guy on crossing routes... unless it's crossing into their zone.

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
