Well, yeah, but that only tells part of the story. It's true that Manning tossed 28 interceptions his rookie season, but he also threw for 3,739 yards (6.5 ypa) and 26 touchdowns that year, which is a respectable level of output for an NFL quarterback. By contrast, Kizer only produced 2,894 yards (6.1 ypa) and 11 touchdowns last year -- leading the league in picks despite only playing 15 games. Similarly, Kizer's passer rating was an appalling 60.5, which is significantly worse than Manning's not-exactly-stellar rookie rating of 71.2. I'm not saying Kizer is destined for failure, but I wouldn't put him in the same league as Manning either.

Then again, Manning is my all-time favorite quarterback, so come at me, bro.

I would have taken a pack of Bazooka Bubble Gum in exchange for Hundley.

To get a 6th round pick for him is criminal. (We got more then he was worth).
He had last year to show he had what it takes, and he proved he didn’t have it. If you can’t step in after 3 years on the team and at least give your team a realistic chance to win, you shouldn’t be there.
Now,I did not expect him to be AR, but geez, he stunk up the joint something awful.
And he did well in previous preseasons, and showed that that was all he had.

The QB coach last year, Van Pelt did not want to be here. It was one of those situations where Mike refused to let him out of his contract or permit him to interview elsewhere. Hundley's shit suckage is the reason the whole offensive staff was shitcanned, including my man Edgar Bennett. Maybe with a little more prep, he'll be a little more ready.

I mean, say what you want about Hundley, but I'd take him over Spergon Wynn or Seneca Wallace. There's guys who bounced around for years who weren't as good as Hundley. Hundley sucked at home, but he was mediocre on the road, don't forget that either. Dude brought the Steelers to the brink, got Rothlisberger'd at the end by Antonio Brown.

To be fair, Edgar was in way over his head and never should have been in that position in the first place.

Kizer has his problems, but I think they're all more coachable items compared to Hundley. And potential wise, I love Boyle potential... people keep bring up losing Hill for wanting to keep Boyle, but that's a bad comparison because I Hill's arm was very average and only looked great because he could pretend to be Mick Vick with his legs against 3rd stringers... but I don't think he could Mick Vick against starters. Boyle showed pose, toughness and giving his WRs a chance even while standing in a pocket with a blitzer about to clearly nail him because all the other blockers were tied up.

Maybe I am the only one, in Green Bay, that thinks Hundley can play in the NFL. I am not shocked or disappointed that they moved him, with the options on the roster.

Green Bay fans will have to come to grips with the fact, when Rodgers is done, we may not be as fortunate as we have been in terms of QB play. Chances are another HoF caliber (for Zero) QB is not going to line up under center. There will be growing pains in a QB as they develop. There is a normal curve with playing time and becoming more and more effective.

Will he become a starting NFL QB? Maybe.. maybe not. But 1 year of extended playing time for me is not enough to pin it in the Not category.

For him personally, I am glad he was moved. Doesn't have to deal with a sour fan base such as this one has become on him... after what, 10 games.

I am not sour. I wish him well. I simply don't see him having very much success as a starting QB.

As sour as you think the Packer fan base has been, if he is forced to start for an extended number of games and he plays like he did in GB, the fans in Seattle or any other town will probably give him more grief than the sour Packers fans.

I don’t “hate” Hundley. But getting the chance to show what he has after 3 seasons of preparing, and then not being able to lead the team shows me he doesn’t have what it takes to be a leader. No pocket awareness, no timing with his WRs, that did it for me.
I didn’t expect him to be a pro bowler, but at least not bomb like he did.
If he would have shown marked improvement during the season, then maybe keep him. But to me, he showed no improvement.

With regards to who will be our QB when Rodgers is done here I don't think he is in the NFL yet and probably won't be for another 3, probably 4 years at least. So we can stop talking about Hundley or Bridgewater or Hill or any other NFL player being that guy. As a backup I don't think Hundley was the guy in GB so I'm happy we could get a pick for him. He may have a better chance of winning a few games if he has to start in Seattle than he would have here but if I were a Seahwaks fan I would be hoping as hard as Packers fans are that our starter doesn't get hurt.
