He did try to trade for him in the middle of the season. I don't think he will now, but at the time, Tony G for a 3rd was the deal.

he's got 3 years left on his contract, making $4M in 2009, $4.5M in 2010, and $5.75M in 2011. That's not a ton of money, especially for the next two seasons. source

We will be fine with Lee and Finley. I think we didn't use them in the passing game early on very much last year because of the OL having issues and Rodgers not releasing the ball quick enough. It seemed like most of the time we had 2 TEs in there and both were just used to block.

Thats true.............if we would start USING the TE's, we might be surprised at what they can do. We didn't USE them much last year. Hopefully we will open up the playbook more this year.
But that will ONLY happen if we can get an O-line that can give AR some time!

I think you're always looking to upgrade your team and Tony G is a big upgrade over Donald Lee.

Lee is a nice player, but he's not Tony G good. If KC wants to do a No. 3 for Tony G, I'd do it. Likely, GB and KC would do a deal the day of the draft.

However, I just don't see Thompson making this type of a move. Veteran players are something he goes away from.
