Pedantic pedants will pedant. I know that Murphy reserved hiring and firing authority for the head coach, but do you seriously believe it wasn't made in consultation with Brian Gutekunst? It would expect the triumvirate structure to be dismantled and the incoming head coach to report to the GM.

Rumors are flying that McCarthy might land on his feet in Cincinnati. Now that could be interesting.

Is that a serious question or sarcastic? As much as he needed to leave GB, he's going to get a job pretty quick.

Be careful what you ask for.

Replacing Mike had to be done, but it also needs to be done correctly. This change could really go either way.

Yes it will be interesting to see if any (especially the Browns) hire MM very quickly.

Rumors are flying that McCarthy might land on his feet in Cincinnati. Now that could be interesting.

Also the Bengals owner is cheap as hell (maybe because he's over spent and secretly broke, but that's just a theory) but rumor has it the Bengals scouting budget is 1/4 the size of the next lowest budget (and Marvin Lewis has been fighting over the years to get it raised) but that's partly why the Bengals embrace the more talented but troubled players over the years, which I wonder how MM would deal with them. Of course they got a new GM in town too.

The GM had nothing to do with Mike's firing

Mark Murphy was the only one who could fire him.

Cris Collinsworth just said on the air that he thinks the Packers did McCarthy a favor by letting him go before the end of the season. I tend to agree with him.

Collinsworth is right, Murphy and now Gutekunst did Mike a favor.

Gutless is what this is.

Murphy screwed up by half assing it last year and now is throwing all the blame on Mike with help from Gutekunst

Going to be real interesting who THEY hire.
The chain of command is severely flawed in Green Bay.

Mark Murphy comes out smelling like a rose.

Behind closed doors he has to be laughing all the way to the bank.

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
