Well we finally got him to help our run D guys! Gutey finally heard ya! (or Snacks is just trying to jump from front runner to front runner after declining to sign GBs contract offer this past summer)

Meh. I expect nothing from him. It won't surprise me if he is not even activated for a single game. I hope he proves me wrong and shores up the run defense.

I double doinked so I'll spot this quote from SI.

Despite Carroll suggesting the 6-foot-5, 350-pounder is retiring, Harrison said he doesn't wish to be claimed off waivers, preferring of course to pick a contender to join - which means his mind remains somewhat open.

Harrison wrote on Twitter that he hopes to keep playing: “That’s the plan. If I can work out the logistics of it. Not doing the waiver thing though … nah”

As Carroll noted, Harrison has seven kids and said Harrison is “going to try to just get them back home (the Dallas area) and get them safe.”

I think he might be right: this is simply to block another team from nabbing him.

Edit: Or not!

Edit Edit:

Kenny Clark approves! I'm sure Martin and Barnes do as well!

He wants to start a bidding war. What's he got left?

I am not certain how the waiver process works but I don't think GB has a superior claim except over KC.
If GB won the claim it's only because no one else wants him. That means they didn't block any other team. Going a step further, no other team valued him enough to take him in order to block GB from getting him. My guess is they rather hope GB would pick him up.
As far as a bidding war, he's at the vet min. There's one game left in the regular season. He has no leverage at all. If another team really wanted him, they could assume the Seattle contract. No need to bid for him or offer him a larger deal.

As far as shoring up the run defense, the run defense has seemingly been doing a lot better in recent weeks, and Snacks has little to nothing in terms of pass rush. So he won't be taking snaps away from Clark's or Adams (maybe allowing Clark's more of a breather on run clogging), but if anything this would eat into Lancaster and maybe Lowry snaps.
