When the Packers traded with the Saints in 2018 and received a 2019 First Round Pick, I wasn't expecting much of the 2018 first round pick at the 27th selection.

Original Trade

Saints receive:
» 2018 first-round pick (No. 14) -- Marcus Davenport, DE, Texas-San Antonio

Packers receive:
» 2018 first-round pick (No. 27) -- traded to Seahawks
» 2018 fifth-round pick (No. 147) -- traded to Panthers
» 2019 first-round pick

Then the Saints took a guy I saw lots of pundits saying the Packers would select, DE Marcus Davenport. And then the Packers made another trade.

Follow-up Trade

Packers receive:
» 2018 first-round pick (No. 18) -- Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville
» 2018 seventh-round pick (No. 248) -- Kendall Donnerson, LB, Southeast Missouri

Seahawks receive:
» 2018 first-round pick (No. 27) -- Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State
» 2018 third-round pick (No. 76) -- traded to Pittsburgh
» 2018 sixth-round pick (No. 186) -- Jacob Martin, DE, Temple

When Packers selected CB Jaire Alexander, I didn't know much about him. Transparency, I knew little to nothing about any collegiate athlete. I must say when reading about best CB's in the league and seeing a Green Bay Packers player who they drafted and groomed is quite cool. I'm glad they picked up the 5th year option on him (no brainer) and hope they can figure out how to re-sign him during 2022.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm happy with the Jaire Alexander pick.

Gute working his magic. Jaire is one of the best CB in the league. If the new kid Jean-Charles develops they will have a a very good tandem for a very long time.

Yes I know it is Stokes.

I'm gonna root for Kevin King. God he pissed me off. Tighten it up, young man...I think you have the talent to do so.

Believe me, I’m rooting for King too, as long as he’s on “my” team. I’d love him to turn it around and be excellent.

I've been a big Jaire fan since he was drafted (as my signature attests) and think he'll be remembered as one of the best defensive backs in club history. Like I said in another thread I bought some of his rookie cards even though I haven't bought cards in nearly two decades and I'll probably get a jersey sooner rather than later. I sorta wish they would pay him the big bucks before they pay Adams. The fact that Gute picked him and then turned the extra first rounder into Savage was a masterstroke.

And my wife got me 2 signed Amari Rodgers rookies, both numbered to only 25.

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : @JacobMorley Shoutout to Quinn Ewers for allowing Matthew Golden to be available when Green Bay picked.
