It confirms what I suspected, that they all loved the kid - and I'm assuming the list of names to include in "they" would be: Thompson, McCarthy, Capers, and Greene. I don't care if the haters are rocket scientists; I'll take the opinions above over theirs any day of the week.

Anyway, what's the real reason for this hatred anyway? You can disagree with the trade, since we did give up alot of picks, but what's with the knock on Matthews himself all the time? He looks like a very solid player and the do-it-all OLB you need opposite of a Kampman, Harrison or a Merriman.

I loved this pick. It addressed a need and I'm glad Ted Thompson did what had to be done to get him. Who woulda thought in the 2009 draft there would be a trade up and no trade downs. haha
