Switching the Packers to 32 (and the teams without a 1st to their correct spots) gets annoying, so I just let PFF set the order even though as we have already established, PFF order is wrong.

1) CB Harris
No, he's not related to Al Harris (as far as I can tell), but he's fast, strong and physically like Al with has good speed to go with it. To be our long term #1 CB going forward.

2) DT Banks
Need to work on his endurance, as when he gets tired his techquie gets lazy, including pad level high, but at his best, he's a surprisingly athletic 6'5" 325lb which great short area quickness and and power.

3) LT Tierman
Very large, 6'6" 330lbs, LT for Notre Dame with gold quick feet for his size. Probably won't actually fall this far.

4) LT Smith
6'4" 310lb, LT for Indiana, which one of the best OL in college last year, and Smith gives his QB lots of time in the pocket with good pass protection and clearly he's being the leader with high expectations for the OL this year again.

4) DT Marshall
Under weight DT at 6'3", 290lbs, but a penetrator who wasn't doubled teamed a lot (as he was rarely in the A gap) but won a very good percentage of the pass rush plays when he was doubled. He also played over 100 snaps at DE showing versatility.

4) TE Kitselman
6'5", 255lb TE that was a highschool OT/DE before being converted to a TE in Community College. GREAT physical blocking TE that help them lead in rushing, but he also has not dropped a single pass in his entire college career (yet). He's not the most athletic, and don't expect him to go deep, but he also effect in a traditional TE roles in the passing game as well.

5) Might as well group these "CB"s together, but note, they're clearly different styles.
- Outside CB Igbinosun
- Slot / Dime/ SS Kilgore
- Slot / CB Scott

CB Igbinosun
Explosive, long strider, which makes him an outside only CB, allegedly ran a 4.34 in the 40 (but while fast, he doesn't consistently play that fast, but still fast). With an overly physical style of play, which is good to be physically, BUT he also drew the most penalize DB in all of college football. If he can play smarter, then he potentially could rise a lot.

Slot/Dime/SS Kilgore
Primary playing amin the slot, PFF has listed 6'1" 220 Kilgore as a CB. In the last two years he's played 885 snaps in the slot, 384 in the box (Dime LB), 229 as a deep Safety, 26 at the DL, and only 20 as an outside CB. Kilgore is an elite run defender, and enforcer, but while he has great physical potential in coverage, all the moving around might have stunted his growth a bit and he still needs help in some the technical aspect of coverage, but he has the physical potential. As basically a LB/S tweener, he should be in high demand for the coverage units on STs.

Slot/CB Scott
5'11" 190", Primary a slot CB but also has a decent number of snaps as an outside CB. Scott doesn't have the best speed, but he's a master technician seemingly having a quick mental and physical processor and surprisingly physically for his smaller size, plays bigger than his numbers. Scott also plays on most ST units already and should be able to help with those in the pros.


5) QB Mateer
29 TDs to 7 INTs with 64% completion rating and over 3,000 yards. Duel threat QB that has numbers similar to size/speed to Malik Willis, 6'1", 220 lbs, expected 40 speed in the 4.5.

Though he's been tabbed by Dan Orlovsky as this year's QB to take a huge jump up the draft board, like he correctly picked Jackson Dart.

Mateer was a backup behind Cam Ward, until Ward transfered to Miami in 2024, and Ward was the #1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Mateer is also transferring in 2025, following his offensive coordinator/QB coach from Washington State to Oklahoma.

The biggest knock on Mateer so far, is that he was a backup when Washington State was in the Pac 12, then the Pac 12 broke up, he became a starter against a weaker independent schedule. And looks like their team (especially the defense) got absolutely blown out in the two games they faced a ranked opponent.

Started with pick #32

1) Traded up because physical bump and run CB Harris dropped further than I expected.

2) Luck of having one of the better DTs fall to us in the 2nd round.

4a) Tried to do a trade back and still grab one of the OTs, but it didn't work out, so trade back again and doubled up on CB.

4b) Got a quality LT prospect, I don't know about Center, but he can play the other four positions.

4c) Speaking of Centers, we got one that meets Gute's OL height requirements. Also, he was teammates with Zuhn who was taken with 4b until he transfered away from Texas A&M this year.

This is probably going to be more favorite one for a while, wish I could of gotten more DL help, but maybe we could grab some in FA.

1) C Slaughter
Trade up and get the best Center prospect in years, I'll let PFF write up explain it. But he's only got the size and skills to play any of the three interior positions.


2) DT Miller
One of the Packers favorite schools for linemen, I think in part because their scheme makes the DL do the dirty work, so that you know they're willing and able to do it. What sets Miller apart is his versatility, he certainly has the power to run clog, but also has very good quickness to get off the ball fast. Since Georgia makes them do more of the dirty work, Miller, like a lot of the Georgia DL needs to work on pass rush moves, but he's got great potential to get better.

4) LT Casey
He's got good size 6'5" 315lb, and athleticism, giving up zero sacks last year, one hit and only 5 pressures for the entire year. Two concerns to have, and maybe the only reasons he drops this far, is the team has helped them by being a run first team, running the ball more often than passing it, but also due to small school going against mostly weaker competition... but he's shown up great when he's fasted the big schools too, so he's probably going in the top 3 rounds, but if he falls a bit, grab him!

4) TE Kitselman
Highschool OT that has developed into an all around 6'5" 255lb TE in the SEC. While he'll never be known for speed, he will be an elite blocking TE, that so far has not dropped a single pass in a college game, and can be used in the underneath game extremely well.

4) LT Zuhn
SEC LT, large 6'6" 315 lb, he has most of the physical tools but he needs to become more consistent with them. He might not have the elite quickness for elite zone, but Packers have moved to a power run style in recent years.

4) LB Styles
Originally Styles was an oversized Safety, but they have since moved the 6'4" 235lb Styles to LB, where he's still learning some of the run gap fills and getting off blocks of the LB position, but also showing elite coverage skills for the LB role.

5) CB Everette
Will have to see if Hafley changes the coverage this year, but last year, he most ran different versions of the Cover 2 and Cover 3 zone, which I believe will fit Everette well. Everette has good quickness with playing the ball in front of him, but doesn't have the best mirror matching skills which will limit him in man coverage. Everette has the physical potential to be a good press zone CB, but he needs improvement his press technique, the physical tools are there, but he needs to develop it more.

Packers strongly considering trading up for star C Jake Slaughter but he doesn't fall outside the top 15.

Packers then stay put,

1.21 CB Harris
Harris has true #1 CB potential but needs to clean some things up, he clearly enjoys the physical aspect of the game, but needs to make sure he's not going to get flagged and like most CBs his tackling technique could improve, but he sure doesn't lack the will to hit. He's best in man coverage, while in zone coverage, and can get stuck watching the QB a bit too much, and not following the receiver as much, also doesn't have the best hands (that's why he's on defense), but whiles he's not related to Al Harris, a similar playing style might be perfect for A.J. Harris, once that focuses on bump and run coverage, and locking up your guy one on one. Note Packers defensive coordinator Hafley also coached Richard Sherman in a similar bump and run, though more in cover 3 than man coverage, but surely Hafley system could be a good fit for a physical bump and run guy if he plays smart.


2.53 Packers trade back 5 spots, targeting a group of 3 DTs... and in those 5 picks, 3 Centers, 1 Safety and 1 DT are taken, including the DT that supposedly is the highest rated due to him being the best pass rusher, but despite being huge he doesn't focus on the run enough and Packers might actually prefer the DT they got over him, due to being more well rounded. If I had to pick her, I would still probably pick one of the 3 DTs that I'm targeting, which I think the Packers would like Georgia's Miller the best.


2.58 DT Miller
Packers continue their collection of Georgia DTs, Miller is a very well rounded and used in multiple different interior DL roles, he doesn't have a ton of snaps as Georgia rotates their DTs more than most, but considering the limited pass rush snaps, his pressure numbers are pretty good. And Packers still need to improve their DT roles IMO.


3.85 DT Orange
Surprising Orange dropped further than expected, Orange plays "NT" (I'll explain the reason for the quotes in a bit) in the very pass heavy, Big 12 conference. But Iowa State runs a 3-3-5 scheme with 3 deep Safeties which helps the pass defense, but hurts the run defensive, especially since Iowa States LB have gotten decimated with injuries. But while Orange plays the "NT" position, he's not asked to play like a traditional NT style wise, as with pass heavy conference and the 3-3 scheme they need penetration more than run clogging. So I'd call Orange a DT instead of a NT, despite him playing NT and being 6'4" 325lbs.

That being said, Orange's quickness and hussle for a guy his size is absolutely amazing, and you can't teach that, and he combines it with great power, and he knows more pass rush moves that most. That being said, he doesn't have the lower arms, when pass rushing, his pads can get high, and he NEEDs to spend a week or two, one on one with Kenny Clark on technique of how to handle double teams... the effort is CLEARLY there, but the technique and understanding of how is best to beat it, clearly either hasn't been taught or learned yet. Heck, when scouting him, that might be my main focus, talking with his teammates and coaches and seeing if the coaches don't teach it, or don't teach it well, or who am I blaming for that horrible double team technique... who I blame (him or the coaches) would probably effect my draft grade on him.

But using Orange as a power pass rusher could be very interesting.


4.121 Honestly, I think the mid 120s is the sweet spot where I'm liking a ton of different guys, at least in the PFF simulation. If I had to pick here, I'd be arguing between Tennessee TE Kitselman, who's probably the best blocking TE in a while, and great soft hands, hasn't dropped a pass in his career, though not the most athletic, or one of Texas A&M starting OTs that are both in this range, for some reason PFF has RT Crownover graded higher than LT Zuhn. Zuhn has given up more sacks, but he's stated healthier, and has given up less pressures. Unfortunately the Lions did grab the WR I thought was best available. With trading back, the TE was taken but both OTs were still in play.


4.127 LT Zuhn
Zuhn has taken over 880 snaps in BOTH the last two seasons, giving up 2 sacks each season. Both only a total of 15 pressures this last season (2 sacks, 2 hits, 11 hurries). Honestly I don't see many holes in Zuhn's game, it's just that he's not nessarily elite in enough areas. He's never going to be elite run zone blocker, but Packers have moved to power man blocking mostly. Zuhn needs to work on improving his hands, but I much rather have that issue than a foot/legs issue, and his hands aren't horrible, they just need improvement on their placement and strength. With the Packers most likely letting LT Walker go via FA (or a tag and trade if the Packers think they can get value that way), this will leave Morgan, Belton and Zuhn competing for the LT spot (assuming they don't move Tom over).


Trade up: As I said, I think this mid 20s area is a sweet spot. And 49ers who had 3 picks in their area were willing to trade one away. Also, Packers lost a 2027 7th round pick to the Lions in an earlier trade, but got the 49ers 6th round pick here to make up for it. And one of the Lions picks went to the 49ers too.


4.128 LB Glasker
Glasker is an interesting combination of skills, which could make him a versatile playmaker, or a tweener without a real clear position, but he seems like he's becoming well rounded and should be able to play a LB role in the NFL.

Glasker was a high school WR/S and started college at S, but since has gained 40+ lbs and moved to LB (and with his frame, it looks like he could gain more weight if desired) , now supposedly at 6'4" 235 lb, he's got good coverage instincts, and length, and lead the entire Big 12 conference with tackles for loss with 14.5. The question for Glasker will be how is he able to hold up against the run in the NFL, as he doesn't appear to be the most physically, but the tackles for loss, length and athleticism could say otherwise.

For a whole there, conservative, rush only 4, and the rest play coverage schemes seemed to become the huge thing in the NFL, but the ever changing pendulum has seemed to start to switch the other way (especially in the NFC North) and getting more blitz happy. In theory, Glasker might be a best fit with either extreme, that asks him to stay in coverage, and/or surprise blitz a lot, as long as the OL can't consistently target him all game long, and tee off on him.


5.142 CB Everette
There is a long break of having no CBs before him... so Everette consistently keeps getting picked before his PFF grade, averaging out at #140, so I actually got him a bit later (or basically exactly where he's picked) on average.

Plain and simple here, I just really love Everette's zone instincts at this value, he's never going to be the most athletic, and in one on one man coverage, he's going to have trouble, BUT almost the entire NFL has gotten away from man coverage anyways, as no team runs it 50% of the time, and I think only two were running it even 40% of the time anymore.

Everette probably won't ever be a #1 CB (how many 5th round picks are?), but make sure the scheme gives him Safety help over the top and allow him to play a zone and I think you might have a very good role player.


5.165 WR Nic Anderson
Anderson who played at Oklahoma before this coming season at LSU, has not been consistent, as he's drops way too many of easy catches, but at the same time, he's routinely catches the extremely hard catches. Like the harder it is, the better he is, and the easier it is, the worse he is.

He's not expected to be track fast, with 4.5 speed, in his 6'4" 210 frame, but he's consistently been a deep threat averaging more than 20 yards per catch in 2023. Also a red zone treat with 10 TDs in 2023. Injuries basically took his entire 2024 season away.

Anderson clearly has untapped potential, but if he'll ever be able to become fully consistency is unclear, but I think it's worth a roll of the dice, and Packers currently have Watson, Doubs and Hardman as WR FAs, at the end of the season and switch Melton to CB, so they might need some more WR depth come 2026.

Outside of CB, I feel the Packers mainly need lineman, linemen linemen. Though that's not why I drafted so many, but they were good values. I did target one of the three DTs in the bottom of the 2nd, as I believe we need to add new talented blood to the DTs. Hopefully we can pick up an outside CB in FA, but Packers seem very certain in their current guys.


My top 2 picks are physical DL that are versatile but also don't mind doing the dirty work, just as much as getting after the passer. Also DE Enagbare is a FA.

Then two OTs, that could help to replace OL Walker and Rhyan. I'd say the two drafted OTs are opposites, LT World is HUGE (6'7½" 310 LB), but surprisingly quick for that size, with MAJOR potential, but also needs a lot of technique improvements still, sort of a boom or bust developmental selection. Also World has only played at Nevada until this coming season when he transfered to Oregon. While Duke's OT Parker has played both OT spots, but more on the RT side, he's 6'4½" 300lbs, but he's got GREAT pass blocker, only allowing one sack over the last two years.

TE Kitselman is a great blocking TE, but also has great soft hands, and hasn't had a single game drop in his entire college career (so far). But he's not the most athletic TE, but LaFleur scheme has used a lot of tricks to get TEs open and get easy short wins which could be a great role for Kitselman as a blocking TE and free Kraft up to be more of a receiving TE in two TE sets.

C Foster, great size for a Center 6'4" 310 LB, football smarts, a ton of starting experience in the SEC (he's been at Texas A&M until transferring to Kansas for this season for some reason) but shorter than preferred arms, and while he's a freak in the weight room, that power doesn't translate over as much as you'd prefer to the game film, probably due to poor technique/levelage that he'll need to improve. And while C Jenkins is signed to 2026, currently the Packers could save $20 million before he gets the off-season workout bonus, or $19.5 million if they get rid of him before the season.

WR Anderson is a large WR that has had great success on deep routes, he's been at Oklahoma until transferring to LSU this season. Anderson has drop issues with easy passes, but also has been absolutely clutch in tough situations and need it moments. Injuries took his 2024 season away but he had 10 TDs in 2023.

CB had to be addressed, and I had the safe slot CB (Scott) or the high risk, outside CB with character questions (CB Jyaire Hill), I played it safe.

CB Scott has been mainly a slot CB, but he's just over 5'11" 190 lbs, so he has enough size to potentially play outside too. He had a great 2024 giving up a passer rating of only 68.1 with 4 INTs. Also Scott plays more physical than his size might suggest. Also, it seems like a ton of the CBs are well underweight this coming draft year, 190 isn't good, but also not horrible. Plus, Hafley seems to like slot types. Nixon was a slot guy who they moved outside, and Hobbs is a slot guy who they're moving outside (when not in nickel) so this follows the Packers trend of getting slot guys to be complete CBs.
