Formo - I could see how she'd drive you crazy. A good friend of mine's mother says the same thing over and over. We'll be watching a movie and she'll make a point about the movie which may have been good the first few times, but after 10 or 11 times through the movie, you just want to tell her to shut up.

As for that tinfoil, that's OCD right there. Even at a hotel room, I'll leave my toothbrush on the sink and then rinse it off before brushing my teeth. Big deal. You're not going to get swine flu from your toothbrush being on the sink in the motel room.

It's amazing how illogical people with OCD become. I feel your pain. May the force be with you.

On the way home today.. I bought myself some Gatorade. She bought some water. We bought the stuff at the same time, so she saw me pull the Gatorade out of the cooler and pay for it. We get in the car and start rolling. About 15 minutes on the freeway, I crack open the Gatorade bottle and she asks me.. "Do you like Gatorade, Jeremy?"

..... My response was, "Yeah"

What it sounded like was, "No. I hate Gatorade. I'd rather drink warm cow piss. I'm just drinking this now, infront of you, because I hear it may cure the STDs I have given your daughter."

We get home, and the apartment isn't the cleanest. Whatever, we were in a hurry to pack and didn't have time to do any maintenance for a day and a half. She saw the apartment and said, "Oh mi GAWD!" And immediately started to grab stuff, and clean. Shanna, of course, takes offense, so she's on edge. About 5 minutes later, the MIL (mother-in-law) starts whining about her heart hurting. Shanna tells her to get it checked out before her flight in the morning. MIL says it's just because of stress. Because our apartment isn't to her standard. This sets Shanna into a semi-implosion-rage.

I smile.

Karma's a bitch. =D

The MIL isn't going to make her flight tomorrow, and I don't have to do a damn thing.

EDIT: BTW, these stories aren't HALF of the Hell the MIL puts us/me through. These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

She asks my wife, about every hour, if she ever gets worried about walking outside at night (Shanna works 2nd shift).

She stresses out about EVERYTHING. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. And then asks us a million times if we are worried about the things she is.
