So we are supposed to wait another two or three weeks to sign this guy?

In the mean time someone is busting their butt in TC, when he does sign does that mean the guy who has went through TC, trying to be PART OF THE TEAM, gets cut anf Raji walks in unprepared and of no use?

How is that making the team better? There is no guarantee Raji is going to be a superstar or even a starter.

Read my post I said make him an offer, if he refuses, move on.

You talk as though he hasn't been made an offer. How is that we are this far into this thing and you don't feel he has been approached with a deal? I would find it hard to believe they haven't gotten multiple options in front of his agent by now.

The last I heard the news was CLOSER to a contract which means to me Raji's agent most certainly has something in front of him.

It's Raji's AGENT that has to get over the fact he may have to risk encouraging Raji to take a deal before Crabtree signs and boils down to whether or not he has the guts to do that.

The Packers pretty much know what Crabtree is looking for so it's in their best interest to get Raji signed before him. That tells me the Packers are trying and Raji's agent is holding off or at least that would certainly make sense.

It's most beneficial for the Packers to wait and see where the Jacksonville deal comes in because chances are it will be far more modest than Heyward-Bey's deal, thus giving the Packers leverage in negotiations. Per general manager Ted Thompson's orders, no one in the organization has addressed the state of negotiations or whether it's the team's feeling that Raji's group is being unreasonable.

Raji's agent, David Dunn, has not spoken publicly about the negotiations either.

Nevertheless, sources familiar with the dealings said Monday that talks have picked up and numbers discussed, but real progress has not been made toward a contract resolution.

The Packers continue to be careful with their words regarding Raji's absence, preferring not to say much about whether he's hurting himself, choosing instead to say they understand it's part of the business. They're probably taking that stance because their business side of it dictates that they negotiate low in anticipation of the Jacksonville deal.

Raji's side, on the other hand, wants to take advantage of the inflated numbers of Heyward-Bey and Mark Sanchez's deals in the first round, both of which featured huge raises from what players in those respective spots received in 2008. How high they're going is anyone's guess at this point.

In the meantime, Raji missed his 10th practice of training camp, and the defensive lineman is all but assured of missing the first exhibition game Saturday against Cleveland.

Let me clear this up, I know they have been negotiating, I'm saying make them your final offer, let them know it is the final offer, if they refuse move on.

I think 15.4 guaranteed was for last years pick by Cincinati @ #9 - LB Keith Rivers. Not 100% sure though...

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
