Bucky Brooks is biased (alliteration!). The dude was a Packer in on the '96 team. That little history nugget was for free. Next one will cost 'yall.

Oh, and I'm excited about these predictions -- but it does seem to indicate that a LOT of stock has been put into Green Bay's preseason success. These people seem to be easily swayed.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

I think its more then preseason success as to how we are being judged....I think people realize we have one of the best O's in the league and a decent D that can stop you...With the fact of our schedule being weak as hell this year, who wouldnt pick us to win 10+ games? I think the main concern was more so of how Rodgers would be in his 2nd year...Now that they see he isnt a fluke and has shown he is a better QB then last year, they now see us as a threat for the NFCN crown...I mean we do have the best offense in the division...maybe not the best D but good enough to keep us in games and help us out...Im sure u can add the fact we were in most of games that we lost last year as well...Point is,minny, pack, and bears will all look legit this year do to weak schedule...i believe we have the 3rd easiest schedule, followed by minny and then the Bears who have the easiest schedule...

I don't see why people think our schedule is so weak this year. I look at that schedule and see a lot of challenging teams. The only reason it looks so good is that the numbers are heavily skewed by the fact we play the 0-16 Lions twice. There's no way the Lions are going to be that bad this year. I personally believe they'll go at least 8-8, and I can't see any way they don't win 4-6 games. Like the Packers of last year, the Lions were hardly ever blown out and they played solidly in every NFCN game. People get easily blinded by raw numbers of 0-16 and fail to see the potential this team has.

I actually gave you a +1 Non because im looking at the schedule and i have no clue why people say its so easy. First off we have our division games and those are games that seem like records don't matter, Then we play against the Seahawks that have their starting qb back and by some our predicted to win the west. You get the Bengals back with a very solid D and they also get a top 10 qb back in Palmer. Then of course we got the Cowboys, but i guess the easiest part of the schedule is when we have the 2 superbowl teams and the runner up in the AFC. We will be playing probably the top 2 defenses in the NFL during that stretch.

But hey i guess you can say we have a very easy schedule.

Had to edit i got carried away with the Thens lol.

What I see favorable (doesn't mean easy) for our schedule is how our road travel is setup this year. Until we go to the Tampa week 9, all the road trips are regional. We start with two games at home, always enjoy that. I do believe we have an easier first half schedule than many teams. Only two teams in there with winning records last year, and they are in our division.

Even the second half of the schedule has some nice touches, even though there are harder opponents (at least last years records indicate). After the Thanksgiving game we have 10 days rest until hosting the Ravens. It's like a second bye week and could be huge for getting players on the field for the battle that will be the Ravens. Even on our longest road trip to Arizona the last week of the season, the NFL did it right and made the game an afternoon start, so won't be too bad on our players.

I find it hard taking in account the individual opponents because no team has played a game yet this season. but with regards to our road travel, bye week, and 2nd bye week, i do think it's a more favorable schedule.

I take very little stock in the schedule. Going into last year, people probably didn't think the Cardinals were gonna be that good. They didn't think the Titans would have a 13-3 record. Also it was hard to see that the Seahawks and Jaguars (two teams usually in the playoff picture) were going to be that bad. Every year teams get stronger and teams get weaker.

Yeah, you never knew, there are so many factors. In the Titans case, it was a rookie RB who put them over the top. For the Cardinals, it was a Colts SB team-like run with their defense. For the Seahawks it was QB and WR injures, for the Jaguars O-line and pressure issues. You never know what will happen.

If the Vikings lose AP to an injury and we lose Rodgers, this division is suddenly turned upside down.

The schedule is a key component in a season. I watch it closely.

I will give you an example.

The second time we play the Vikes (at Home) they will have come off of games against Baltimore and (at) Pittsburgh. They will be playing us at our place on the second consecutive road game (not statistically in their favor).

We will have come off of games against the Bengals and Cleveland.

Now if the schedule doesn't factor into this I don't know what does.

Similar with the Baltimore game. They come off two home games against the Colts and Steelers and then go on the road to play us.

That is the PERFECT way to spell l-e-t-d-o-w-n spot.

So the schedule favors us in some tough home game situations and also helps us that we play away against weaker non-division teams. That does not include the Steelers and Cards which will be tough ones although the Cardinals may pay us to stay home after what we just did to them.

Of course any team can win on a Sunday but I would rather be seeing the Browns, Bengals, Seahawks, Bucs, etc., than the Giants, Indy, SD, or teams at that level.
