Did anyone see the clip of that Oregon Duck sucker punch the guy from Boise State?! And like a lil bitch he was backing up after he did it. He should have never made it off the field alive....or at least injured nicely! Punk ass! And then he messes with his own guy!

Its all that is talked about here in Boise. The most exciting part of the game was after the final whistle. Props to Oregon for doing the right thing and suspending him for the season. He now loses his final year of eligibility, all chances of a Heisman, and most likely a chance at the NFL. He keeps his scholarship and is allowed to practice with the team.

The dude from Boise St. will be on the coaches $hitlist for awhile after that and will likely run ALOT of laps.

What a punk.
Maybe he can make it to the NFL, and team up with Pacman Jones.

Has anyone reported what the taunts were? I'm curious.

Listening on the radio this AM (ESPN). The espn guy thinks this was handled wrong.

He was asking what good it does the kid, the team, his teammates etc. to suspend him for the year. He went on to point out that it is far more than a year suspension for the kid in question. His argument was that it is a lifetime altering event for the kid, a financial sledgehammer blow. etc. According to him, the player went from a pretty sure-fire 2nd round pick to undraftable.

For me,
it was a life altering event.
wonder what the other kid said.
doubt that he will go undrafted.
sad, perhaps more sad than the whole stupidly sad event itself.
bet next time he keeps his fists in his pocket.
wisdom can be extremely expensive, now he knows that.
or more accurately, should now know that

I saw his 'apology' after the game.. It looked like he was back-peddling something fierce.. lol That didn't mean squat to me. I would like to see him publicly apologize to the kid he jacked face to face.

But.. Hopefully lesson learned.

I seem to recall him having discipinary problems in the past. At the very least...

Blount's punishment comes nearly seven months after he was suspended indefinitely from the team for failing to "fulfill team obligations." Details of the February suspension were not disclosed by then-coach Bellotti, and Blount, a transfer from East Mississippi CC, was reinstated before spring practice.

Fact of the matter is, not only did this kid make a bad decision by punching someone, he made a bad decision for many more minutes by acting like a three year old and having to be dragged off the field. He embarassed his team and his school just as much as himself. The fact that this player was an adult acting like this in public leads me to believe that this is NOT incredibly unusual behavior for him.

These are the people we DON'T want in the NFL. Maybe since he just screwed over his football career, he could fix some of his personal problems and hold a career like the rest of us do.

Good points DKF.
Seems this guy doesn't know how to act like an adult. I don't care WHAT someone says to you on the field, whatever the taunt was. You don't punch a guy. That shows what character he has. And by the sounds of it, he makes bad choices alot.
