Now that he got cut from oakland. Would he ever come to the pack?

In a heartbeat if the Pack offered him a great contract...

If you mean to ask if the Packers want him - why would they? He is old, had trouble staying healthy, and heck the Oakland Raiders cut him.

I'm nauseated just imagining all the ways announcers would insist on drawing parallels between Garcia and Favre were he to come to Green Bay. For the love of God, please do not subject us to a season of such aural abuse.

In his defense Garcia looked like the best QB they had the little I saw of them.... and one rumor is that they cut him is because he out played JaMarcus Russell, who has the franchise wrapped around him like Favre did when Sherman was head coach and GM. The different being Russell sucks, lazy and not a leader..... he has tons of potential but he's king now... what does he have to work for? He also has no one leading him.

But the other parts i agree with you... he's old has trouble staying healthy and would take up a roster spot that is currently taken.

To be a back up. So what if hes old. A back up veteran qb would be nice. He can still get the job done.

If i had to choose between Garcia or Flynn coming in if Rodgers got hurt, id take Garcia 10 times outta 10.

ummm so who would you cut, ir or trade to open up a spot for Garcia?

I wouldn't make a spot for him... I like the talent the Packers have... if Rodgers gets hurt.... then Flynn chance to step up.

I'd take Garcia over Flynn also. I would even cut Flynn to open a spot for Garcia. He gives us our best chance to win if Rogers had to leave the game.
Plus I have always liked Garcia.

Okay honestly.... I think your a little crazy.... or just had a crazy spell or huge man love for Garcia or something....

A 39 year old QB who hasn't been in the Packers system, plus he's injury prone and hasn't play 14 games since 2002

over

A 24 year old QB who has been in the Packers system and has a heck lot of upside and could be the #2 for years.

If your taking cutting Flynn for Garcia I hope your planing on drafting a QB in next year's draft. Because getting rid of Flynn could mess up the #2 for years and if Rodger goes down then (you know when Garcia is retired than the Packers are in huge trouble... can't just think about one year)

I prefer Flynn as our back up. I wouldn't mind having Garcia either but he obviously doesn't want to be a 3rd stringer when he will probably get better opportunities from other teams.
