Honestly if somebody wants one of the Packers ILB for a high 1st I'd think about it. Maybe... not sure... but maybe Kampman too (but only if they were okay with a trade... trading someone when they don't want to can cause problems in the locker rooms of both teams). But think about it the Packers have 4 ILBs that are good enough to start. Hawk is the best one but he's contract is also hardest to trade so he'll probably stay. I think Barnett will have the most problems in the 3-4 because he takes on blockers the least well.... and right now Bishop seems to have the most hype.

But think about if the Packers could get another 1st in the 2010 draft and maybe grab one of these guys with the pick that we trade for... that would really help the DL to take off and rule.

Driver is past his prime.
Seymour is in his prime.

I'd have to say, Nick Collins. But, that's not fair or consistent with what I just said above, because he has not entered his prime.

Which then leaves me to, Aaron Kampman.

Driver has been more consistent and more healthy than Seymour over the last couple years. How do you figure Driver to be past his prime but Seymour in it? Both are on the tail end of their prime and if anything I'd expect Driver to last longer. It's also safe to say that some if not most of the tailing off we're seeing from Driver is due to the emergence of Jennings, not a loss of ability.

Driver is past his prime.

how is Driver past his prime when he is still putting up 1,000 yard seasons, demanding double coverage, still not afraid to go in the middle and still making unbelievable catches? i think its just that now that we have another threat in Jennings, many people over look Driver and feel he is declining which is absolutely not true...It also might be that we cant cope with the fact we have two legitimate WR's now who are both 1,000+ yard threats...

Kampman is the obvious choice here. The problem is, who do you want to start for him? The only real elephant player we have to replace him would be Jeremy Thompson. I love the kid's potential, but he had 0.0 sacks in 9 games, of which he started 3. I wouldn't be too happy having him as our only real pure pass rusher.

The Patriots, next to having some depth along the D-line, also had to get rid of one high priced player. It was either trading him now, or have Wilfork or him go into free agency next year. As much as I would love a 1st rounder, I don't think we should take a risk like that. We have enough cap room and Kampman is the only sure started.

Good lord, we're trading Kampman now (I know, not really - but discussing it yet again)?

Unbelievable. I'd vote to keep him.

He's a Raider now. Pillaging, just for fun. He'll knock you down and upside down and laugh when he's conquered and won. Or something like that.
