correct rock extrapoint requires no time. As far as down the middle that is all that was open ofcourse you can throw it to the endzone and worst case is an int.
We had our asses handed to us bad breaks a officiating crew that was in love with the hanky and a D that looked overmatched in physical strenght.
Arod held the ball too long a couple times and O-line flat out sucked
I am therefor I think.

That wasn't the play call, that is what develops after the initial route is covered and the WR try to make something. They can't all come back down the sideline.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Moved here as the OP indicates this is a general observation.

Extra points are not timed. If you score on the last play, you are allowed the extra point try. It doesn't matter if there is no time left on the clock.

But we probably would have had the kick blocked anyway. And the amount of yards our D was giving up to Cedric "The Entertainer" Benson, it would have just delayed our pain until their offense scored in OT.

Slight technicality, but I would've gone for two, the way the game was going.

I was flipping between the Bungles/Pack and the Vikes/Lions games.. and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the Bungles running game was going, more so with Benson. Just gives me hope that AP will still be able to run wild on the Pack's 3-4, unless they do some serious damage repair to said D..

Well that's obviously not the play call. With two seconds more though, it could have been bloody brilliant couldn't it?

I think we clearly go for two in that situation. We would have just erased a 10 point deficit in less than 2 minutes, they would've been completely demoralized.

Anyway, to reiterate what a number of you have said, sometimes the middle of the field is the only play you have. Besides, you don't know if the defender is going to slip or your receiver might break a tackle and end up scoring. Had we been onside we got the ball off in time once you looked at the replay. We tried to make the most out of that situation and it almost made up for a day of mistakes and piss poor fundamentals.
