Hi everyone. I've been a member here since last year. I found this site when looking for a place to watch Packer games, because I rarely get them on local TV. I watched pretty much every game here last year, and chatted with many of you leading up to the games. Once the games started, though I was quiet. I suppose I was one of those leeching members who the password was designed to either get involved or get out. I only posted once, to thank Zero for the feed.
I love this site and love being a part of a community of hardcore Packer fans, and I look forward to learning from all of you. I played football in high school, but the exorbitant salaries and attitudes kept me from being much of a follower of professional sports. That is, until my roommate at Marquette took me to my first professional game...the Packers vs. Lions at Lambeau Field in 1997. That was honestly the best experience I'd ever had in my life. Never had I imagined such a insanely fun and friendly atmosphere. To this day, every time I hear "doo doo doo dooo doo GO PACK GO," I get chills and am transported back there. It gave me an appreciation for professional sports that I could not have picked up at any other stadium in America. The history there is remarkable. The fans are awesome. And a Packer fan was born that day.
I look forward to getting to know you all. I'm trying to give back to this site considering what was given to me last year. I've always came here for my Packer news, but it's been more of a matter of lack of time than desire to post here and share opinions.
I pray to God that I can find time to contribute enough to actually get to see my Packers play on Sundays again. I totally understand the reasoning behind the new rule, but I also don't want to post just for the sake of building up my post count. And I don't want to join in so many discussions that I can't keep up with them all.
