CLEVELAND Consecutive lopsided victories against two of the NFLs sorriest teams might not mean much to the outside world. But inside the Green Bay Packers locker room at Cleveland Browns Stadium Sunday following their 31-3 romp, there was evidence this team is growing in confidence and togetherness.

No one will be handing out gold stars because the Packers outscored the Detroit Lions and Browns 57-3 over the past two weeks, or that they outgained them by a ridiculous 895 to 288 margin in total yards.

Its understood the Packers are supposed to roll over bad teams. However, what matters most is that after suffering through some early-season problems, the Packers are starting to believe in themselves.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers noticed early against the Browns that his teammates were rallying around each other.

There was excitement, there was dancing, there was celebrating, said Rodgers. There were guys looking out for each other.

When Rodgers got his helmet ripped off on the Packers opening offensive series and was punched in the face by Browns linebacker David Bowens, it didnt take long for some of his teammates to react.

Anytime somebody attacks your quarterback like that, it doesnt go over well with any of us, said Packers center Scott Wells.

It was the Packers who were punching the Browns in the face the rest of the afternoon. They rallied around Rodgers in a unified front.

The linemen came over and said Weve got your back, said Rodgers in explaining what happened after Bowens cheap shot. Stuff like that, I think that means a lot. That means a lot to me. That means a lot to our team. Were a tight knit group. I felt like we kind of played with excitement and joy, all the things we should play with, and got back to playing our brand of football this week.

Their kind of football included rushing for a season high 202 yards and featured no sacks of Rodgers, who posted a sparkling 155.4 passer rating. Those are impressive numbers, considering the Packers were playing without starting offensive linemen Chad Clifton and Jason Spitz.

Were a good football team, said Packers coach Mike McCarthy. That's one thing I know. I've always felt that way.

There were some doubts about that after the Packers lost to the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings three weeks ago and eventually fell 2 games off the division pace. Rodgers was getting sacked at a record pace, the run game was stagnant and the defense was experiencing growing pains in the new 3-4 scheme.

Easy wins against Detroit and Cleveland are by no means a guarantee the Packers have turned the corner. But it puts them in a much better frame of mind heading into their rematch against the Vikings next week at Lambeau Field.

I think the last two games we just came out and took care of business and played the way we were supposed to play against teams we were supposed to beat, said cornerback Charles Woodson.

What that means is the Packers can climb into first place by winning the rematch against the Vikings and following it up with a road win at Tampa Bay.

That would be a remarkable transformation from where the Packers found themselves on Oct. 5 after losing to the Vikings.

I think we knew we were a good team, said Woodson. But we just left a lot out there on the field. We didnt do what we were capable of doing in that game. This coming week weve got to let it all hang out. So I feel good about it.

It took nearly two months, but the Packers are finally starting to feel good about themselves.

What is the old saying......Take care of business at home, play :500 on the road and you will 12-4 at the end.

Packers gave 1 away at home, doesn't look quite as bad as when it happened with The Bengals sitting at 4-2 also.

Big game Sunday, must win home game, take care of business this week, Packers cannot afford another home loss.(this week, this game)

remaining road games...TB,Det,Chi,Pit,Ari, with the loss to Bengals, Packers will need to win 3 of those 5 games.(TB,DET,CHI)

remaining home games...Min,Dal,SF,Bal,Sea....pretty tough remaining home schedule...winning out at home does not seem likely, 3 of 5 would put The Pack at 10-6.

Pittsburgh beat up The Vikes pretty good, I'm talking physically, IMHO Pack will win this game, that will be a good start, they lose Sunday, probably looking at 9-7 and hopefully a wild-card.

Just trying to break it down a little, the difference between 5-2 and 4-3 is huge with this being a division game, picture could become a little clearer after Sunday.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Mucky Tundra (3h) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : database is on new host, eventually website will follow
Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
