The 6-2 (Going into the game) Dallas Cowboys were totally out coached today. It was brutal how bad they were out coached.

It's a nice change, hey? I was plesantly surprised the way our guys kept pounding away all game. They didn't give the Cows ANYTHING, until "junk" time.
(I don't think Romo made the 1st on 4th down. I would have liked a better replay of it.)

I think our guys KNEW that lose this game, and you pretty much put yourself out of the playoff hunt. They played like the season was on the line, and they gave it their all.

Definitely. It was a huge wake up call, and I think the emotion our defense played with today shows that. This team rebounded from a horrid loss, and that says something about your team. Lets keep it rollin!

Great win. We controlled the clock. That 15 play drive for a TD is arguably the touchstone moment from this season. Granted, it wasn't always pretty on that drive but we got it done. Inch by bloody inch we made it downfield. Huge 3rd down conversions all game long.

Still way too many unnecessary penalties. We have to get that fixed. Too many 2nd and 17s and 2 and 14s -- that neuters your offense. Hard to generate offense when you are playing from behind.

Great game on defense. Dunno if it was Capers doing something different or guys just steppin' it up. My biggest worry in this game -- aside from the obvious fear of Rodgers getting mugged -- was that we wouldn't be able to generate any pass rush on Romo. Hats off to the entire defense. It's a combination of scheming, good coverage, and a lot of intensity up front.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

McCarthy's throwing the third challenge flag was a bit of a head scratcher, but it was hilarious watching Triplett going under the hood anyway.

I really didn't get McCarthy's reaction after his first challenge failed, though. It was obvious even before he threw the flag that there was no way he was going to win that challenge, so why he acted all peeved after the decision went against him is beyond me. I couldn't tell if he was ticked at the officials or at Nelson himself for not stretching before his knee went down.

Could MM called that challenge cuz he knew they were out and it would give the D a chance to rest?

McCarthy just addressed the first challenge in the post-game presser. Basically he said that he got behind after the big play. The play clock reset right away at 40 seconds. They had a personnel change to make but they were behind on the play call, so in looking at one of the angles from the big screen replay in the stadium and taking into account there only being 15 seconds on the clock at that time he decided to challenge.

Got the sense he'd take that one back, but considering they'd have to call a timeout anyway (and based on his admittedly limited view from the jumbotron) it seemed worth taking a shot.
