LOL.. having an open roster spot allows them to apply a new sense of pressure on Kapinos ... and gives them a little flexibility in working out punters and inking one on the spot if need be..

IMO.. with some of the comments coming out this week.. the frustration level with our current punter is rising..field position is ultra important the closer the season comes to a close with the weather becoming more of a factor.... just saying it wouldn't surprise me.

Trade deadline passed quite a few weeks ago. Week 6 or something. We're free to sign FAs, though.

I wouldn't mind another punter. Bring in some competition. Then again, we have a somewhat stable punting situation now. Maybe we should just roll with it for now and draft a punter reasonably high in 2010.

I don't think that we'll see a receiver signed, either, but we might be signing another O-lineman. We saw what happened last week. We actually had Dietrich-Smith playing, with Breno being inactive. I think that they might want to get another guard. Maybe push Colledge a little, as well.
