Charles Woodson was on Jime Rome today and he said that Nick has a motor that doesn't stop. Charles says that Nick is always up tempo (even in practices) and full of energy. He also said that he sluggish at times during practices and sees Nick flying around and it energizes the rest of the team.

I thought that was neat.

How can you not respect a guy who goes out and makes flash cards of all the defenses Capers scheme has, just so he can stay up to date while he is (was) recovering? Nice to see he has emerged as a leader.

Oh, yeah, I totally love the Samurai celebration. That thing is awesome. It'd make an awesome smiley.

Good to hear that about Barnett, that's a great quality to have as a player. Last season, it seemed like his spirits weren't as high. It's got to be that hair that's the difference.

I have to admit that I was kind of on his case earlier in the season, but my opinion has changed as of late. I guess I just think these guys come back from injury, and should be ready to go instantly. ::shrug::

Remember him being in a rotation at the start of the season, because of his injury?

He's the leading tackler already. Again. And he has 3 sacks. He's actually having a pro-bowl season. Also, again. I'm afraid that he'll be Al Harris-like in that department, though. Good enough to make it just about every season, but never getting over that hill.

The Pro Bowl is a poisoned chalice for teams. All it does is trigger contract clauses and gets agents knocking on TTs door asking for improved contracts. It also makes players more expensive to retain when their contracts expire.

Andrew Brandt has said that the whispering of agents and other members of the entourage happens at the Pro Bowl.

Collins was a prime example last season. Who knows whether he would have been pissed at his 3m deal had he not made the PB but I suspect that didnt help.

As for Barnett it was good to see him giving McCarthy a game ball in the changing room after the Boys game. (See NFL.com/videos for the clip).

I think Barnett really showed he's still got it in the Cowboys game last week. The injury he sustained couldn't have helped him feel good during the first half of the season, and I feel like Linebackers need to be 100% to really bring it. Let's hope he keeps it up the rest of the season.

+1 for pointing out what I have pointed out but could not get anyone to agree with me regarding contracts.

-1 for not having my back in the threads that I had done so.

+1 for the Andrew Brandt reference, as I had forgotten to mention that, even though I read it as well.

-1 for the crappy example of Nick Collins. Not the example, but the reference to his compensation figure. The only pound Nick could figure out would be on a scale, not in his wallet. (This is intended as humor, btw)

+1 for the Barnett is the one that gave MM the game ball...Didn't know, don't really care, but I needed something to reference to get you to a net +1 (that's some more humor, but the +1 is real :thumbleft: )

Barnett has really played well. Matthews has played fantastic as well. Hawk and Kampman have been good at certain things but not impact enough.

We definitely need more production in terms of sacks out of Kampman.

Hawk has the speed to be able play the run very well and maybe he does, it's just very hard to gauge at times.
