And the win against a playoff caliber team we before that? The Colts in 08, but one should remember that was when Manning was struggling after having surgery.

This year, we've faced the Bengals, Vikings (twice) and Cowboys who were playoff teams by virtue of their record.

Our combined record: 1-3.

We beat the teams we are supposed to beat - the bad teams - almost all the time. We only occasionally step-up to the plate when going against the big boys of the NFL.

When we faced those other 2 our O'line was a mess. It's not great still with all the injuries but at least it appears better. Also our D was not hitting on all cylinders yet. We are hampered a bit with the injuries to our D but they are more in sync than they were early on. Let's see what happens.

I agree; wish we played the viks at the end of the season instead of both games right in the beginning. IMO we did Very well vs the viks and the bengals whom are real good vs 3-4 teams.

I'm not saying we haven't improved, what I'm saying is that against playoff caliber teams, when a higher level of play is the norm, the entire team has to elevate their play.

Under MM's team, that has not always been the case. Part of that is because of the youth on the roster that is still learning the ropes of being a pro. Part of that, in my opinion, is because MM as a coach has been unable to instill a physicality / discipline that the top teams have.

To beat the better teams in the league, you have to bring your A game, bring energy, have a solid game plan, and have the discipline to execute and not hurt yourself.

Our team, when going against stiff competition, falls short in those areas.

I'm not going to suggest it'll be a blow out for the Ravens, not at all. I'm a Packer fan and I want our team to win this one.

Unfortunately, going off of history under MM, my brain is telling me to taper my expectations. To be fair, though, our team hasn't been clicking this well on offense and defense since we made the run in 07. (I still fear for our special teams, though 😞 )

PS - In my heart of hearts, I think Packers pull this one out, surprising a lot of people by their physicality and intensity.

Our guys just have to go out there tonight and do the job.

The Ravens have scored 4 tds in their last 43 drives and have had no sacks in two games. They are beat up, have played a brutal schedule here lately, and we've had plenty of rest and get them in Lambeau.

No excuses. Go out there and do the work and get it done.

i see it being a close run game. high scoring but the pack with homefield advantage and the momentum to take the win!

Sloppy but they won by more than I expected. That makes 2 over .500 teams this season doesn't it?

Yes, although now Baltimore is 6-6. Depends on if it's measured by the team's final record or record at the time they played. Not sure how the NFL measures that.

Well, the Ravens played some good teams this year. When i checked that out before the game last night, i was even more nervous. But our guys are stepping it up! They never let up.
The only play that REALLY bugged me was once again allowing a big kickoff return after one of our scores.
To me, it's getting to the point where you might as well just kick the ball out of bounds and give it to them on the 20.

Well, I voted but I didn't want to jinx us so I didn't write before the game what I said. I said 10+. :thumbright:

Last time I said we'll win big we lost so didn't want to voice it again.

Great game, Packers. The D stepped up when it had to. Our O looked sloppy though.

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
