Not to be rude, but fuck Cowher. I'm fine with the attitude of the team right now, and McCarthy is somewhat responsible for that. I have probably as many problems with specific play calling as you do (maybe more - I yell at the screen an average of 2 times a game this year from a call I disagree with), but overall, they are not a "conservative" "scared" team. For every time I HATE the call, I absolutely love one or two other calls, and the rest I'm cool with.

I have to admit, going into the season my biggest issue with McCarthy was his penalty prone teams and the lack of physicality his teams showed.

I am damn proud that we have become a much more physical team. We pounded the Cards yesterday, but we also matched-up well with teams like Ravens, Bears, 49ers and even Steelers - something I would not have guessed we'd do before the season.

Penalties are still a problem, namely pre-snap ones, but they haven't killed us lately. The dude knows how to coach, and his packages on O have been impressive.
