I wouldn't agree with playing more coverage because with Dom Capers' packers defense (thus far), we have seen the damage it can do to us.

Steelers, Cardinals, Vikes all had their way with our defense last season, whilst our defense had the measure of Jay Cutler, quite comfortably.

Last year, Woodson got torched one play by Johnny Knox, but the pressure was constant, and the little fat emo QB coughed a couple up.

The difference between our defense and Dallas I think can be summed up in one(two) word(s) -

Ball-hawk.

With Collins and Woodson ready to pounce, you'd be crazy not to force Jay "he of little poise" Cutler into throwing. We have already seen it work, and I cannot see a dramatic change in da Bearz this time around, Martz or not.

It's not as though all the sacks come from pressure schemes. Seriously. A decent amount of them have come on 4 and 5 man rushes.

Most good defenses are like healthy diets -- variety and moderation. Do the same thing too many times and you'll pay. Green Bay can't sit back in coverage all day but they also can't bring 6 or 7 guys with regularity.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

So apparently, Cutler was 1-11 on third down against the Cowboys. They way the beat Dallas is through hitting big plays against the Cowboys' blitz. So, do we sit back and force them to complete on third down? Or do we bring pressure and risk the big play?
I might consider forcing them to be consistent on 3rd down.

Sitting back is evil and DCs who run things like prevent defense and sit back and play conservative should all go straight to hell and burn for eternity.

Blitz 'em. Let them have their occasional big play. Let's not forget we got 2 of the biggest INT machines back there in future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and who is going to be a perennial Pro Bowler Nick Collins.

Cutler will make his mistakes as well as completing big plays. But so will Aaron Rodgers. Sacks might be the difference in this game. Let's make sure we're the team who gets more.

i'd like capers to call man-to-man coverage on forte all day long and bring the blitz. if forte has the open field, he will create big damage for sure.

I think with their shaky O-line we should be able to get decent pressure from the front 4... obviously Matthews will do his work and rush a lot as well but we dont need to be bringing more people than we need to in order to get to Cutler this week

I don't think we can afford to sit back in prevent defense. It never works for us....

We're a biltzing team. Its what we do best. You have to play your game. Our offense can keep us in most games, so I say the goal has to be to frustrate Cutler.

1-11 on third down is frustrating. Let him do his thing. Which is FAIL.

The Packers staff has been looking at the film of that game all week long. I have a pretty good idea that any suggestion I have is very much stupid compared to what Dom, Mike, Joe, Kevin, Scott and Darren have come up with.

Packers 58 Bears 14

Flynn comes in at the start of the 4th and throws for (2) Two Td's

The Monday Night T.V. ratings crash after the half with the Packers ahead by 38 points. Most viewers change the channel to the FOX network to watch "Two And A Half Men."

Which will be ironic because after the second half, when the viewers leave the Bears will be putting "Two And A half Men." on Matthews to prevent him from getting his fourth sack.

And that is how it shall be.
