I'm just curious on how the fumble thing works. I might be getting it wrong but doesn't the rule say, if the ball gets fumbled and goes out of bounds the possession of the ball goes to the team that last touched it?

Correct me if I'm wrong?

Didn't Woodson strip the ball and knock it out of bounds?

no, the defensive team needs to establish possesion in the field of play unless it is fumbled out of the endzone, in which case it goes to the defense.

The call they screwed up was the woodson/forte fumble in the first quarter, but the refs blew the play dead too quickly

no, the defensive team needs to establish possesion in the field of play unless it is fumbled out of the endzone, in which case it goes to the defense.

The call they screwed up was the woodson/forte fumble in the first quarter, but the refs blew the play dead too quickly

as a whole I thought the refs were alright. They blew the fumble call, and no tv analysts agree with me, but I thought the tauscher hold that negated Finley's TD was iffy at best. Otherwise most calls against the packers were (unfortunately) fair

They were arguably fair, but wow, the timing sure is suspect. The inadvertent whistle cancels one turnover. Penalties nullify the rest. Not what cost us the game though.

That P.I against Burnett at the end was a horrible call imo.
