Bummer about not picking up Lynch for a 4th + a conditional pick later. If that was all, I'd probably have pulled the trigger. We (this board) were talking about giving away a player I liked and that's what I was against.

When the weather gets cold in Lambeau, don't underestimate Kuhn. He pounds hard and hurts would be tacklers. It's gonna hurt 'em even more when it's cold.

ok.

I've always supported TT, but I'm seriously starting to wonder what the fuck is going on here. We went into this season held together by a thread, we're falling apart...and nobody's doing a goddamn thing about it.

cool.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

All this talk about us giving up James Jones or A.J. Hawk? Wow. Seattle got a bargain. They spent a 4th rounder on what's 2-3rd round talent.

That's my point. I would gladly give a 4th + a late round conditional pick for Lynch. I thought we'd have to give up someone good like JJ or Hawk. That I would have objected to.

Bummer. 😞

Marshawn Lynch said he didn't want to come to the Packers because there was nothing to do in Green Bay and it was too cold. That was around the draft. I know this was reported several times because I remember laughing that he landed in Buffalo thinking 'hows the cold treating ya bubba'. I'm failing at finding the article though. Everything keeps coming up about the god damn trade rumor.

Who's to say he didn't have a choice between Seattle and Green Bay?

I think it's too early to blast Ted Thompson on this one, although if Lynch didn't chose his team and the Packers didn't try to match that offer, I am kind of disappointed we didn't pick up a guy who's one screw up away from being suspended an entire season.

Justin Forsett, of the Seahawk's is a former Cal teammate of Lynch's.

Lynch is from Northern Oakland, CA ... Seattle is a little closer to that than Green Bay.

Again...every report maintains that we were in ongoing talks with the Bills. It takes two to tango, and if Lynch's representation expressed disdain for a trip to a Buffalo like, white-bread community like GB...my guess is the Bills would not make the deal. It is hard enough to get players into Buffalo, and that move would be bad P.R. in my humble opinion.

Ahh.. it is a trade.. Lynch has little to say about it..

And before defending Ted on that stance, he didn't want to be here.. this is the same Thompson that signed a Woodson that had little interest in GB either. So he has put millions on the line that a player can play for the Packers without at first liking the environment.

Not buying that as a defense.. that isn't saying I am throwing Ted under the bus for this.. but much like his tenure here.. we probably will not really know why. Even if we are that ones footing the bill in the end for this franchise.. someplace Ted has forgotten that the team exists because of this hungry plugged in fan base.. and he should be willing to explain hot button topics like this.

Why isn't this in the NFL news section? We gonna have one of these every time someone signs elsewhere?

Have you been to Seattle? It definately has more culture than GB.. but I will take the GB weather over Seattle in a heartbeat.
