I'm not sure where that's coming from dhazer, but I highly doubt we had much of a foot in this race and I don't see that as much of a problem.

If Seattle got DeAngelo Williams for only a condition 4th that could go up to a 3rd based on incentives, and we didn't even try to match that ... then I'd understand people being upset.

But over Marshawn Lynch, Mr never got more than 1,200 a season? Mr one violation away from full year suspension? Mr > Brandon Jackson?

I think people are pouring emotions from the Bears loss and the poor Lions game into this as another "loss" which is not necessary.

There's still two weeks before the trading deadline ... so ... we get to read about hits/misses for another 14 days ... GGGGGGGGGGGGREAT.

Zero I was throwing in a little Moss trade talk dig in there when Ted Thompson thought the Moss trade was done.

I really don't see any trade coming from TT. He prides him self on his draft picks.

If we are a one dimensional passing team we will be doomed once December and January comes along.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

EXACTLY. If we find out D. Williams was being shopped, and goes somewhere else, then I'll be pissed. Lynch hasn't shown shit this season.

Huh.. apparently some are forgetting how Lynch performed against us.. could it be that the Bills have two other backs with better situations than Lynch.. where we don't have that luxury.

Point is.. there is always a reason to either support to nail Thompson to the cross...

IMO, we have no solid every down threat in the backfield at the moment.. Lynch provides us more than what we have.. but Ted apparently thought the cost outweighed the gain.

But I see little reason to degrade Lynch because we didn't obtain him.. that is more a mechanism to downplay the non move for the simple fact that Lynch is a better option to line up every down than what we have. At least from my chair.. in what I see when he runs.

If stating facts is degrading the man, so be it.

I like Lynch. I had hoped we'd get him. I'm not going to pin anyone to the wall because we didn't give up two draft picks for him.

Would Lynch be better than Jackson/Kuhn? I'd have to say yes.

Is Lynch worth a 4th and a 6th? I don't think so because of the risk factor involved and because of our poor OL and that we don't run that much compared to passing.

Those griping about it I think are just looking for reason to bitch about something ... as I alluded to earlier.

To be fair, winning that division won't be considered a great accomplishment. They might be able to do that with an 8-8 record.

Lynch had 3.8 yards per carry and 1 fumble every 40 carries last year. I wouldn't consider that a lock for a championship. I wouldn't even call that an upgrade.

I wouldn't expect Lynch to know the system well enough to start for 3-4 weeks. By that time Starks, who is as unknown as Grant was, will be ready. He has been studying the system since OTAs. He has been to meetings and I read that he said he was ready to play for the last preseason game. They may have kept him on the PUP list because they didn't think he would make it to the PS. Just a theory. I am not just saying. I am really saying.

Let's stop acting as if a 4th and 6th is a lot to give up. That is it a fairly easy going deal for a 24-year old RB with a pair of 1,000 yard seasons already under his belt.

Not to mention, he's been running behind the worse offensive line in football and their passing game is also non existent.

If I had to guess and it's just speculation, but Ted Thompson probably didn't want Lynch because of off the field concerns. They probably didn't see a fit there, so Ted Thompson passed.

I read that Starks is 100% and ready to go. I'm hoping he's been getting hit by someone because if not, he's not ready to go in my eyes.

Everyone is touting Starks.. he hasn't even carried the ball once for us yet.. he is a wild card at best at this point.

Your opinion... don't look at all the facts and disagree or hold the wee bit of criticism on the non deal.. or your a whiner or bitcher.. your the only one looking at the deal with a "broad" scope and has enough brain power to make a conclusion on their own.

Damn sometimes you are condescending as hell..
