For right now, I have to give it to EJ with all due respect to Urlacher. Few things.. EJ has played one less game than Brian, but has totaled the same amount of tackles. EJ will never have more sacks than Brian because Minnesota's defense doesn't blitz from that position much (and why would they? They have a pretty good front four). Minnesota's defense is rated higher than Chicago's. EJ suffered a career ending injury.. and not only came back from it, but came back from it 6 months faster than expected. Both come from a defense that loaded with defensive stars, so that point is a wash. And lastly, the timing of said injuries.. EJ broke his femur like in week 12 of last year or something. Urlacher broke his wrist (I think that was his injury) in week 1 or 2 of last year. Urlacher had pretty much ALL of last season and this full off season to get ready. EJ had a few weeks of the season and then obviously all of the offseason.

Unless EJ's production goes down, I just can't see giving it to Urlacher, IMO.

Very good points brought up.

One stat I would also like added is tackles for a loss. Brian Urlacher has six. Henderson has just one.

In the end, there's still more than half of the season left. I think one of these guys will break out of this stalemate it seems to be in currently.

Didn't think about that stat. But, I disagree that this stalemate will break. If both remain healthy, I don't see how either one of these guys are going to drop off significantly.

I don't get the Urlacher hate. Sure he's got bad taste in women but that's outside of the game itself.

He's a dang good MLB, but his entire Conference has a lot of studs at MLB, including our very own Nick Barnett (who is underappeciated by Packers fans).

The one thing both Urlacher and Henderson have in common is when they're not there, their respective team's D goes all to hell.

I feel stupid, I don't even know whom he's dated.

I think he plays like an All-Pro against the Packers, but in other games I've seen him. I was not impressed.

To your point, I will agree that Urlacher is a better leader, than E.J. I've heard too many times Urlachers name mentioned with the likes of Singletary and I think that's wrong. I think Singletary was in that rare class with a select few that Urlacher has not earned the right to be placed in.

Zero - I've mainly seen him play against us and he looked good when facing us.

As for Urlacher vs Singletary, Singletary is a Hall of Famer. Urlacher won't be. He's a very good MLB in a conference with a bunch of very good LBs. He'll be forgotten.

He's kind of along the lines of Donald Driver. Driver is a solid WR but to get to the Hall, he'll have to beat out people like Randy Moss, TO, Fitzgerald, that guy who recently retired for the Colts who got 147 receptions in one year, etc. Too much competition. He'll fall short unfortunately.

Same thing with Urlacher.

Formo - I don't know if you remember me saying this, but I did say this last year. I said that had Henderson not been injured, you would have won the SB last year.

I change my vote - Mike Williams of Seattle deserves to be the Comeback Player of the Year.

Yes.

That's a great pick.

Although I doubt that you can call it a comeback, but he did come from far to become one of the better receivers in the game this year.

That's not a comeback. In order to comeback, you have to be something first. Phat Mike Williams never was. Until now. Consider this more like his rookie year.

Besides, this was a Comeback Player of the Year between the two MLBs.

Then we can't consider Henderson in the comeback player.

Guess Urlacher wins by default with those two options.
