I do have to wonder what kind of coach doesn't have the balls to tell his defensive lineman to stop screwing around in pregame warmups. I mean, kicking field goals . . . seriously? There are very few players with the conditioning and flexibility required to make that movement. Even kickers themselves occasionally get hurt extending their legs that far. Craziness.

Except that he was making motions he'd never make in a real game. It would have made more sense for him to focus on more functional motions that prepare him for game action.

But hey, who am I to talk? I once tore my pectoral insertion while stretching for an army PT test. It took months to heal from that stroke of genius. 😉

I have to respectfully disagree. Players should do an even wider range of motions. NFL players should be doing things like ballet or yoga. The wider range of motion they do, the less chance of injury.

Besides, maybe he's our #2 K. What if Mason Crosby steps on a banana peel?
