How about that screen to Jones for the TD? That play looked waaaaaay to easy. Jones was just like...."Ok, I'm gonna get a TD now yay"

Awesome play call on teh Jennings TD. You know the Dallas D had some changes and that was the perfect call because that forced the secondary to communicate and mix up coverage. GREAT call.

Overall, I tend to go too up or too down on MM and the coaching staff. But for now, I am very high on them - but it was Dallas at home. I will hold off on my MM for coach of the year until after the Vikings game.

Well I don't know if people caught it but the idiots in the booth said that the Packers simplified the playbook this week, like back to the 1st week of training camp. I did notice we actually ran slants and screens tonight. It also didn't hurt that the Cowboys opposing qbs are putting up an average of 103 for a qb rating.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed this win ( made me $100) but I won't say our offense is back until we can do it regularly. Thats the offense I expected us to have all year. When you can have a high power offense for 2 years and all of a sudden we are just average, that would and should throw up some flags of concern.

Like I said I was real happy with the game, I knew Rodgers would have a big game, thus I was debating if I trade Zero Rodgers this week or wait till the bye. But I did trade him this week and I think I got the better end of the deal.

One big plus for us was the Giants killing the Seahawks, this should keep the talks of Super Bowl down during the bye week.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

You know why the O was so good last night? It's because Aaron was confident he wasn't going to get his head pounded into the turf for another concussion.

Foster said awhile ago about the OL. He was right. If anything, props to Foster for predicting that. Give Aaron time and he'll kill.

The fundamentals, the foot work, all that jive is all mental masturbation. Not being anti-intellectual here. I'm calling it as I'm seeing it. Aaron is an elite QB. The way to beat an elite QB is put him on the ground. I think the first games shook him and he feared another year of 50+ sacks and his career ending up like Lynn Dickey.

2 weeks in a row of good OL work, and his confidence came back. It went through the roof. Now we're seeing the real deal - the real Aaron Rodgers. The Aaron Rodgers of 2009 - smart, accurate, confident, mobile.

It all comes down to the OL. Let Aaron know he's not going to be pounded and he'll do the statistical pounding on Ds.

I think there is something to be said for the fact he's a few weeks removed from the concussion, though. Not only did he seem more confident last night, as you say, but he actually seemed more alert -- and his receivers seemed to care. It seems that morale is improving, and I'd love to know why. Is Mike McCarthy offering backrubs in the locker room now? Maybe he's handing out lollipops and gold stars for good behavior.

I agree with the sentiments regarding the o-line's improvement. At the same time, on more than a few occasions last night Rodgers made some slick moves to avoid pressure and extend plays. If Lord Byron James were still our QB you might be talking about sacks/interceptions on those plays.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

I'm afraid I don't grasp the "Lord Byron James" allusion.

Rodgers looks a lot better when his guys catch his passes.

And they catch more passes when they run higher percentage plays.

Let us not forget that the girls are a demoralized team that, with the exception of Dez bryant, had no heart.
I don't care about how much talent they are supposed to have across their roster, they looked like a bunch of quitters.
The teams the Packers play down the stretch, even the Lions, are all playing with alot more heart than the cowgirls could muster.
