Now everyone can say "Arodge can't bring his team back for wins."

Because he didn't make a clutch as hell throw on 4th down for the TD did he? Wasn't his fault we lost, he played great.

This game was lost on that 14 point swing before the half. But yeah, the special teams let us down bigtime at the end.

Yes, because after halftime we had no chance of winning the game right?

It probably even wasn't a 14 point swing. More like a 7 point swing, since they drove down the field from 20 anyway.

Anything could happen, but to me, that was a back breaker. Same thing busted the Queens game wide open last year. Only we were the beneficiaries.

I don't know WHY we didn't sqib kick it at the end. WHY kick it deep in that situation?

Were it not for the facemask, the KR may have gotten another 15 yards anyway.

It's tough to say what happened in the 1st half prevented you from winning with 30 minutes to play, but 2 incidents that certainly affected the way the 2nd half was played...

ARod fumble and not challenging Gonzalez non-catch on 4th down of their first td drive.

That's at least 3 extra pts. for the Pack, 7 less for Atl.

Yep, the failure to throw the red flag was huge. It was a no-brainer.

It's not the end of the season. We played relatively bad football today and hung in there against the conference leaders in their house. We will live to fight another day and it has been said already; today just wasn't our day. Yet we stayed close. It'll be fine, Packers fans. If we play them again, I know that it is a winnable game.

I would hold the coverage unit accountable more than I would a player trying to save everyone's ass by making a tackle.

The Special Teams coverage sucks, has for awhile now, but I think we've all known that.

Actually, I didn't know that. I think the coverage units have been okay this year. But they had an untimely lapse today, to say the least.

Except it wasn't a game-winning drive. It was a game-tying drive. Now had Mike McCarthy gone for two on that drive to win the game, I would have offered up burnt sacrifices in his name tonight. He would have won my deep respect for showing that kind of aggression, win or lose. After all, what did the team have to lose? They're oh-fer in overtime lately and they're now 2-12 in games decided by 4 points or less. Why not try something different instead of giving the opponent the ball back with more than enough time to score?

It was a hard fought game against a great opponent. We went toe to toe with them in their house and lost by the HFA differential.

All close games have a couple of things that make a difference. This was the case today. The refs missed that 1st down and the dropped 4th down.

Good game, congrats Atlanta.

How would going for a two-point conversion have made a difference in the amount of time left on the clock?
