I'm still around. I've been really sick and the Docs can't seem to pinpoint what is wrong. The past four weeks I haven't felt like doing anything. They think it is possibly a bad reaction to some medication I took about a month ago.

Anyway.......to the topic. This past summer we started hearing water running in our house even when everything was shut off. Nothing bad at the time and we thought it was possibly due to the extension of our main service to a new group of homes just north of us. WRONG!!

It got worse so two weeks ago we called our water company and they did their thing and found the leak between the road shutoff and our house. Guess who's responsible for the bill???

We called an excavator and he gave us a very reasonable quote. I just need to win the lottery to pay for it. He is scheduled to start tomorrow. This should be interesting. When he first came out.........no snow and 40 degrees. Now........18 inches of snow in the front yard and we've had 4 days below zero already. High temps the rest of the week between 10-15 degrees, with another storm bearing down on us for Thursday and Friday.
