Like I said, I get it.....he has an ongoing tantrum with Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy....but to throw his former teammates this curveball because of it is sad and pathetic.

What curveball? If Donald Driver thinks Favre is cheering for the Packers (with TT) to win the SB, he's an idiot and I hope he's not that niave. If this comment by BF, makes DD re-think everything, I don't know what to say. If DD honestly believes that Favre isn't sitting there cheering against the Packers, wow.

It's like how Shaq is boys with Derek Fisher and Jerry Bus or whoever. If Derek Fisher is sitting there hurt if Shaq calls up Dirk Nowitski and says "I hope you beat the Lakers", he's an idiot.

And if Favre is so obsessed, why'd he even play on Monday. Why not sit out and guarantee that the Bears beat the Vikings because Joe Webb is useless right now. Why go out and play with a 99 QB rating or whatever before the injury?

Overall, I am just really confused how these Favre things come as a surprise to anyone and how they change anyone's opinion on him. If the headline said "Favre hopes Packers don't make playoffs", that really changes your view on him? Seriously?

I don't understand how Favre wouldn't want his friends on the Packers to win the super bowl. I guess his resentment means more to him then his friends do.
I bet had the Vikings made the SB last year, that many of Favre's buddies on the Packers would have been cheering for him.
I guess that only goes one way though.

I don't see what the big deal is. It sounds like a back-slapping, har-har-har kind of joke.

The fact that Packers fans somehow expect Favre to have loyalty to an organization for which he hasn't worked in several years still amazes me. If a girl was saving herself for me three years after we'd broken up, I wouldn't admire her fidelity. I'd think she was dumb.

Favre to Peppers: Beat the Packers
Though it may not have the same effect as Adrians post-coma, one-word plea to Rocky, former Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre had a message for current Bears defensive end Julius Peppers on Monday night.

Beat the Packers.

I talked to him after the game, Peppers tells Michael Wilbon of ESPNChicago.com (via Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune). I told him it was an honor to play against him. He said, Likewise. . . . Go beat the Packers in a couple of weeks.

And so we have obtained another glimpse into the character of Brett Favre. At a time when his current team has just been embarrassed on national television, when his disappointing final (maybe) season is ending, when hes walking off the field for the last time (perhaps), hes worried about the Packers for nudging him into his First Annual Retirement nearly three years ago.

Remember when Jay Glazer of FOX reported that Favre helped the Lions and Matt Millen plan for the Packers in 2008? The report widely was denied.

We believed it then, and we believe it even more in light of Favres comments to Peppers.
