One inch. One friggin' inch from being able to "lock it in".

Gave it that itty-bitty extra "shove" to line up the locking mechanism.

I'm a good husband. I built a little "corner" to put the ugly-assed thing, even building up the grade and putting in ties in order to "level" the terrain for easy "pick up" come winter.

You can see how that's working for me.

Over the friggin' hill. Snow tonight and tomorrow.

Ass over tea-kettle.

The drinking has begun.

Hook a tow strap around the top bar after threading it under the lower bar.. use the leverage to lift the nose first as you pull.

If that fails..go grab the neighbors backhoe/tractor and lift it out.

My neighbor is out of town.

It's too low on the left. I'm going to jack up the left side 1st best as possible and then grab the top bar as you said.

Either that or I'm gonna light the ties on fire, lol

Bolt in "One" more layer of tie in the back after you get it up. 😉

I got that bitch.

The other details are relatively unimportant... it was a 4 beer operation.

Coors light, Bob.

Whew, what a beeyatch by yourself.

I'm goin' deck next spring. Probably at grade for about 20ft with footers, etc.

It was the settling in of the ground, burying the "feet" that did me in.

I knew it was potential trouble when I did it originally, but you know how lazy one can get when dealing with moving dirt and shit. I would like to say I learned my lesson, but probably not. :tongue3:

By the way.. you barely have any damn snow there.. my banks are now taller than I.. Sunday when pushing them back I stood the wheeler up on its back tires pushing snow up the banks.

Sell that unit to me. 😉

I thought you had a plow for your Chevy. I guess you're saying you have one for your 4-wheeler...

That unit (and the Dodge it attaches to) are the last of the "fleet."

The blade rarely hit the ground when I did it commercially, just clean up and "call backs".

I love those Western Blades (unimount) WHEN THE FRIGGIN' FEET don't dig into the ground.

NORMALLY you drive right in and hook right up. Not cheap though, even at volume I paid 3800. ea plus 400. install plus tax. - and that was quite a while ago.

I have an old Western plow.. pump and controller are out of it.. but I am using this all to my advantage.

See.. the wife gets to see me freezing my nads off plowing with the wheeler.. so I figure this summer.. I either can get a new plow to attach to the truck with a Uni Mount Boss.. or get a new wheeler with a V plow. ;)

Why fix the old one. lol.

I like those old Westerns.

The Chinese make parts for them too, if you know where to look. I got a pump about 5 years ago for 15 bucks.

Cable I take it.

Those are great plows, but hook up is a PITA.

Anything having to do with snow removal, this is the place:
