So, their gonna name a street after the incompetent head coach.

I'm guessing Ridge Rd will be the one renamed.

What's your guess?

Lombardi Ave.

Replace one incompetent coach with another.

Brett Favre Pass...

Actually, I'd rename Gross Ave. You don't want a name like Gross Ave as you're approaching Lambeau Field...

Valley View Rd
But I would rather see them wait a bit. Winning 1 SB shouldn't automatically get a street renamed.

He is 48-32 in 5 years. 6th best in wins. That is not bad but give him a few more years. At least pass Mike Sherman before naming a street after him.

Gross Ave was renamed Holmgren Way, unless you're talking about the other side of Lombardi.

Sounds like a done deal to me.

Don't see why it shouldn't be a done deal. Holmgren only got us one. I can understand why you'd want to wait to name a street Aaron Rodgers Pass but to me this team deserves all the accolades they throw at them. For what they went through to get here....this is special.

I guess I look beyond just SB wins at the entire body of work. 48 wins and 6th over all in wins doesn't do it for me. Win a 2nd SB next year and I will be a little more interested as only 2 other coaches won multiple championships.

The Super Bowl XXXI victory was different than this one. Holmgren brought a Super Bowl victory to Green Bay after decades of futility by the Packers. It was a bigger deal than this last win. Not trying to diminish what this team just accomplished, but I'm saying that I think the city of Green Bay got caught up with all the emotion that surrounded SB 31 and hence name a street after Holmgren. I think that sets an interesting precedent because now every time a coach wins a Super Bowl they're going to rename a street. Not that McCarthy isn't deserving, but he didn't seem to bring the team through as monumental of a hurdle or transformation as Holmgren did. McCarthy inherited a winning team, one that had a winning record for over a decade. Not trying to stir the pot here, just comparing Super Bowl win to Super Bowl win.
