I had hopes for him as a Packer and a person. His stupidity seems boundless though. Now, maybe he'll be able to get help just as a person.
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

Seriously, I hate to see any young person screw up their lives. His pro football days may be over, but I hope he gets some real help.

And in case it hasn't been said enough times already, Jolly is a mother :xcensoredx: moron!

PFT theorized that the lack of random drug testing by the NFL due to the current lockout situation may have "enabled" him a bit. Yeah, that and an apparent complete lack of brain function.

Just because he wasn't caught doesn't mean he wasn't doing it before now...

I got the feeling he'd fail when I read he was working out with and hanging out with jamarcus russell (who's strongly rumored to be huge into purple drank as well and one of many reasons he got fat and burned out of the NFL)

What is the contract status of Johnny Jolly? I thought Packers held his rights, but that was only because the CBA required 6 years before a player could be a free agent. I don't believe he's under contract at all and if the new CBA (or whatever) says its 4 years, like it was previously, he's nothing to us.

Last offseason Jolly was an RFA... and signed his one year tender before being suspended which I think froze his contract in place. So unless the Packers cut him, the Packers will have him under a one year contracts if he is ever released from his suspension (which looks less likely now).

Of course, he was not found with 600 mg of codeine, per se, but rather with a container that weighed 600 mg and also contained codeine. Under Texas law, he can be charged as though the entire weight of the container were pure codeine.
