In short, the MN legislature/Minneapolis officials are finally giving the Vikings time of day and the big wigs in control of the Vikings are pissing and moaning about the deals. Why am I not surprised?

Meanwhile, us fans are getting pissed and shit on. If there's an NFL season this year, I hope Viking fans show the organization 'rulers' just how much they rely on our money by not renewing season tickets, and no showing up on Sundays.

Of course Trust Fund Zygi doesn't give a shit about you or any other fan of the Vikings. Did you really think he did? And you right wingers rip me an ass every time I explain my hatred of these types of people. Now, Donald Trump is being consider for president - in what fucking universe does that make any sense?

The good news is that you guys look as if you'll get your stadium in Ramsey Co - but it's coming out of your asses not Zygis. I'm happy for you Formo.

"Formo" wrote:

Coming out our asses? Uh, the most recent news is Zygi offering to pay almost double what he's offered in the past. And the state and county aren't paying any more than they've offered. Sounds like a win-win to me. And again, with the way those taxes are written up, if one didn't want to pay taxes for the stadium, they didn't have to. Unless they lived in Ramsey county. In which case, maybe they should have voted for better reps. Or just move.. It's not like the Twin Cities are void of other county options or anything.

As far as my statement from earlier.. I'm far more upset with the state's legislature than I am with the Vikings org. They've put off talks for over 12 years with the Vikings and ultimately cost all parties involved (the state, whatever county the new digs will reside, and the Vikings) a shit-ton of money because of it. Finally now that they are talking and actually coming up with bills, plans and proposals, the brass at Winter Park seems to throw a fit because it doesn't meet up with their budget. As if the greatest NFL fans in the world hasn't gone and stretched their budgets to make it to games in a shit-ass building or anything..

Anyway, I'm more or less venting about both parties (state legislature and Vikings brass) and their ineptness to get something done. Meanwhile, us fans get jerked around.

Do you have any concept of what it takes to make a budget for an entire state, needless to say starting in the hole 5.1 billion dollars. Of course the Vikings are the last thing on their minds. Believe me Formo, your taxes will be going up and you're already in the top ten taxed states.

Maybe you fans should just take up a collection, or maybe take a loan out from North Dakota.

Why not, we have a ton of money in the coffers and you need a bailout. Seems like a perfect match, of course you and Formo would need to call me Sir from now on, but hey, being a Viking fan requires being subservient doesn't it?

OK, let me 'splain this to you one more time Lucy.

That you are not embarrassed by the fact that North Dakota is one of the biggest Federal welfare states in the country, is well....embarrassing.

North Dakota is a welfare queen, plain and simple.

You are proud that your state leeches of the backs of the rest of the country and yet with false bravado claim to have a budget surplus...incredible.

I'm going to type this real slow for you so you understand, that pork does not bother me at all because most of it goes to farmers who line their pockets - it does not go to the state. We have replaced two of the long time democrats in Washington who have made sure that pork keeps rolling in for the Federal Farm Bills. It's the souls of the farmers not mine. So no Dumbass, It doesn't embarrass me at all. North Dakota's coffers are filled with oil tax revenue, which you refuse to recognize because you have this notion that Washington is our piggybank. Hell, I don't think Farmers pay much in ND income tax either. Are you going to bite the literal hand that feeds you? Come back with new material.

What a numbnuts.

OK, let's take a looky see what the "great" state of North Dakota contributes to the country, shall we?

List of U.S. states by GDP, including District of Columbia (2010)
#1 California
#10 North Carolina
#17 Minnesota
#20 Wisconsin
#30 Iowa
#40 West Virgina
#45 Rhode Island

care to guess where North Dakota is?

#50 North Dakota

But congratulations, you outproduced / contributed more than freakin' Vermont.
Guess North Dakota does do a little more than Ben and Jerry's ice cream. :onfloor:

Well I had better get back to work so that more of my federal taxes can go to support you North Dakotan's.

I'll check back later to see what kind of fairy tale bullshit you attempt to dish out next....later my amigo. :thumbright:

VR, since North Dakota has functioned as Minneapolis' colony for it's entire existence, I guess we'll take half of your GDP and move it into our column.

You'd be wiping your ass in the dark if it wasn't for North Dakota, amigo. Let's see I'm Steve Martin, you're Martin Short, and that leaves Formo to be Chevy Chase.

VR: are those per capita contributions or total, though?

In per capita terms ND is pretty much at the national average.

Everyone in Minnesota should be embarrassed by their politicians. Several hundred million of subsidies to fund a billionaire's hobby.

Of course this doesn't make Minnesota unusual in its politicians. Just equally sad.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
