Vote, it's a matter of life and death ... for YOU!!! :P

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/14/the-emmitt-vs-barry-poll/

Given that our post on Barry Sanders’ show of humility regarding the question of whether he was better than Emmitt Smith generated more than 200 comments, it’s fair to say that the issue is one about which more than a few of you care.

So as we embark on another day of waiting for white smoke to slowly rise from a New York chimney, cast your vote on which guy you think was the better player.

In 10 seasons, Sanders made it to the Pro Bowl 10 times, rushing for 15,269 yards. Smith, an eight-time Pro Bowler, gained 18,355 yards in 15 years.

No real surprise, Barry Sanders (who's better than Dimitri Nance anyday) is running away with this poll.

The poll is seriously flawed.

Emmitt Smith > Barry(negative yardage champ)Sanders.

The poll is seriously flawed.

Emmitt Smith > Barry(negative yardage champ)Sanders.

Is it even close.. Billy Simms and Walter were better than both.. 😉

Between the two.. Barry.

It definitely is not Miller time in Minnesota.

Caught up in a government shutdown and facing a state law ordering MillerCoors to remove its products from store shelves, brewery officials scrambled Wednesday to find a resolution to the beer crisis.

MillerCoors LLC, which makes Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft and Miller High Life, has 38% of the beer market in Minnesota, said company spokesman Julian Green.

Minnesota, he added, is one of Miller's best markets in the nation.

"This represents a huge commercial impact for us," Green said. "And what's so unfortunate about this is that MillerCoors and other licensees, none of whom are strangers to the process, are caught up in the middle of a state battle that is impacting business operations throughout the state."

The problem arose as government services shut down and employees were laid off in response to Minnesota's budget crisis. The shutdown enters its 14th day on Thursday.

And, if you believe MillerCoors, it's all over $210 in overpayments.

BTW... does MN still have 3.2 beer on Sunday's?

Thread derailed within 4hrs. I think that's a new PH record, haha.

BTW, I don't really care ... I only give a damn about threads being on topic when it's during the season AND/OR it's a really good topic. And let's face it, there's no real debate, everyone knows Barry was better than Emmitt.

Dried out drunks is no way to conduct a society. We need everybody brain dead to function as a civilized society. Especially in the land of bat sized mosquitos.

However, I'm the ONLY one in my family who thinks Barry's better. I don't get it either. They all site the lost yards issue but don't understand that there are these players called Tackles, Guards, and Centers and that they're very important to running the football effectively.

(Oh, I forgot to mention the Cows also had a perennial Pro Bowl FB that Smith ran behind as well. Must have been nice).

Barry Sanders preferred no FB ... he smiled and said "a FB would get in the way".

Anybody that thinks Emmitt is the better back doesn't know shit about football. For most of his career, he wasn't even touched until he had already gained 3 yards.
