The long-simmering flirtation between Bill Belichick and Chad Ochocinco has finally been consummated.

Local 12 CBS in Cincinnati first reported that Ochocinco was traded to the Patriots. Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer confirmed the news and added that Ochocinco has renegotiated his contract to a three-year deal.

The Patriots needed more speed outside, but there are serious questions whether Ochocinco still has that speed. We’ll have more on the story shortly.

Could care less, Ochocino + Haynesworth have both attitude issues. If they didn't win a SB with Randy, this really doesn't worry me.

Belichick got some production from post-Raiders Moss. Ochocinco was pretty bad last year, but he can rebound with Brady at QB. That is, if he really wants to.

How was Chad bad last year? Do you not forget he said he was the #2 wr on the team and that TO would get the ball thrown to him more. But I guess thats a player with a real bad attitude issue I guess. I would have loved to see him on the Packers but once again the Pats pull off unbelievable shit. Billacheat has to be the best at trades and drafting without a doubt.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

dhazer, how's your boy Michael Crabtree doing? I read something about him missing 4-6 weeks ... 3rd year in a row he's not in training camp or something.

Glad he's on the Pats. Glad we have who we have.

Would love to see us match up in the SB. We were supposed to in '07. Let's hope we do in '11.

Ochocinco is nothing more than an average to SLIGHTLY above average WR at this point. True, Brady might make him look decent, but Brady makes lots of receivers look good. The trade for him doesn't intimidate me at all and certainly doesn't make BB look like a "genius." I'd much rather have James Jones and Jordy Nelson (along with the rest of our team) than the Patriots.

The more significant trade could be Haynesworth. If he lights his fire again, the dude could really be a presence with Wilfork on the inside. It's a risk, but it's worth it.
