Interesting. The only real thing that bothers me is herron was cut yet bush still makes the team? With 4 safties even? I figured bush would be around if only 3 safties were kept. Most of this seems inline with thompson's theory that you keep the best players you have, and not keep around guys just to fill gaps. Looking at the DLine i think its safe to assume jenkins will be getting a lot of work at DT this year, and perhaps motgomery as well.

Maybe there's a reason x player was cut instead of y player is because of a possibility for picking up a (better/cheaper) free agent? Yes yes, I know it's not really Ted's style.

Looking at the DLine i think its safe to assume jenkins will be getting a lot of work at DT this year, and perhaps motgomery as well.

Regarding the DL. I have heard mentions of using Jason Hunter as a down lineman. I didn't piece it together until I read the comment above about Jenkins moving in and playing more DT, but I wonder if those two aspects are linked.

Lumpy Lumpkin makes the team!!! I'm glad to see that! To me, he had more up side then Morency. Herron......well.......i like him. He's not flashy, just dependable. But i think in the end Lumpy showed ALOT this preseason.
The rest of the cuts don't really surprise me that much. The ONLY one that surprised me was Herron.

:physassult: I am pissed, shocked and dismayed; GB cut Herron and the DT we just picked up is already on IR along with Jansen & Coston. Can't seem to keep anyone healthy long enough to play a whole game. Would that fall under a failure in conditioning or just GB's piss poor luck seeing as this seasons training camp was one of the easiest ever? Think the game on Monday night will provide a horror show on our "OL". Only set positions are the tackles. Who's doing the long snapping now?
