Rourke, it's stories like the ones you posted are the reasons I could care less what's on the news/newspaper. I go OUT OF MY WAY to avoid any sort of news, and come here and your jolly ass had to post that crap? WTF man?

lol

Anyway, your last post is very good. And makes you wonder, why the floop does the media have the need to sell 'news' rather than report truth?

Settle down girls.

The simple answer you seek NON is that people no longer fear God. People have gotten to the point where there aren't many mysteries to solve anymore so they foolishly dismiss God. I actually blame Chrisitianity in a way because Jesus is always portrayed as a wuss that forgives everything. They don't ever teach about Jesus' anger with mortals and the disgust he must have felt with certain human behaviors.

Why is the human race so incredibly fucked up?

Because, we don't get bothered by this video.

I don't know if this is the answer to the thread's question, and I'm sure it is not a palatable answer for most, but ...

1. Man is fallen.
2. Man is fallen because of eating from "the tree of knowledge of good and evil."
3. Having fallen, man is prohibited from eating of "the tree of life [and Godly wisdom]"
4. Man likes to construct out of his pride and self-love Towers of Babel.
5. The success of any Tower of Babel is doomed because of #1, #2, and #3.

What is a newspaper, if not a particularly loud-mouthed "Tower of Babel" institution?

What are all institutions of human information (science, education, purchasing power, expert evidence, etc.), if not Tower of Babels we've erected out of the ephemerality and fog of our pride?

Man believes too much in himself. And the more "successful" we are, as individuals, as nations, as cultures, the more that success reinforces and "justifies" that which cannot be justified.

Our pride.

Jesus taught love, yes.

But our pride has distorted that, too. We have taken the commandment of love to mean "I'm ok, and you're ok, and it's all about self-esteem and self-realization and self, self, self." We forget that "Love thy neighbor as thyself" comes only after "Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul."

We've forgotten that Jesus also taught humility. We've forgotten that love is about following him, and that we can follow him only by obedience.

We can't love "our way". Our way comes only through eating the tree of knowledge, processed through human innards and shat out a human anus. No matter how much Chanel No. 5 we add, no matter how many vitamin supplements we might add, in cosmic terms, it's still shit.

True love comes only through the tree of life.

Him.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Here's a good young woman who got violated by our government and she has no recourse. It's almost equivalent to having to write a letter to a rapist telling them that they're an asshole. A lot of good that's gonna do.

God wants us to not only ask for HIS forgiveness, but then to REPENT (turn away from) our sin.
As the Bible says, it's not a license to sin...."All i have to do is say i'm sorry and ask for forgiveness and then i can go on doing it!"
It doesn't work that way, and God KNOWS if you truely man it or not. You can't "fool" HIM.

And lets face it, what DakotaT said is true. Mankind is always coming up with new ways to go lower and lower.
Man turning his back on God is what has caused all the evil in the world. People that do those horrible acts have the impression that there are no "absolutes". The old "If it feels good, do it" is the "law" of today. Want to kill, rape, whatever, just do it.
And yes, the fact we have access to this stuff that happens all over the world just makes it more obvious then maybe it once was. You have to stick your head inthe sand to NOT see how low man has gone.

Hey....maybe we can blame it on "evolution". Maybe we are just "evolving" backwards now. (sarcasm)

Regarding freedom and privacy, I think so many are desensitized by what little they were born into so when a little more is taken away, it's not as shocking as someone who's seen the freedoms we had decades prior.

A lot of the freedoms I've noticed being taken away are in light of the illusion of 'safety'. Kind of like the Government saying hey you'll be more safe if I can see you naked. Capiche? Well, ooohkaaaay.

Zero2Cool (8h) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (17h) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (18h) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (19h) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (19h) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy
Mucky Tundra (3-Aug) : Update: Rock has tried a cheese curd, promises it's not his last
Zero2Cool (3-Aug) : watch it!! lol

Martha Careful (2-Aug) : Congratulations Sterling Sharpe. He was terrific and I loved watching him play.
beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request
beast (1-Aug) : Packers should make some cheese forks
Mucky Tundra (31-Jul) : GRAB THE PITCHFORKS~

Mucky Tundra (31-Jul) : The West has fallen
Mucky Tundra (31-Jul) : After starting off camp with 25 straight made field goals, Brandon McManus has missed one
Zero2Cool (31-Jul) : But it should be stable
Zero2Cool (31-Jul) : It's probably gonna be slower.
Zero2Cool (31-Jul) : We're gonna just full go on to the new host.
Zero2Cool (31-Jul) : What crap. Site issues galore
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : if PH dies, there is packerpeople com available
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : database is on new host, eventually website will follow
Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
