There are still a few moves to go but looking at my guesstimate a few weeks ago it looks like they may keep Coleman for fear of losing him.

I wasn't entirely sold on Gurley but I expected GB to keep 6 WR and I thought he was the best of the youngsters. Boytkin did have better numbers in the preseason but they don't count except with the coaches. He may well still be gone in the last moves to get down to 53.

I thought for a long time on Wilson vs Wynn. (it hurt my head.) I guessed Wynn and was wrong. Originally I left Muir off my roster but later thought he slid in with the suspension to Neal and Hargrove. Oops. They may keep Merling instead.

Someone has to make the team at LB while Walden is suspended. I go with Jones over So'oto.

From what I have heard Richardson is having a good camp. There are too many DBs to keep them all.

Moses over Jones and So'oto, Walden is only down for one game right?
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

A thought on Gurley/Borel...

If they haven't been officially cut.. by letting them know and their agents know.. it may propel a trade to teams down on the waiver claim list. Additionally.. their agents may want to try an control where they land.

Not saying that is occurring.. but it may be possible.

Trying to figure out the 53 man Roster

I'm making a list of guys I haven't heard about being cut yet and seeing what the roster looks like and how many more cuts (or IR) they might need to make)

Suspended list: DL Neal(4), OLB Walden (1)
(don't count against the 53 man roster until suspension are up)

QB:(2) Rodgers, Harrell (2 total) edit:(I forgot Coleman, haven't heard him cut yet ether)

WR:(6) Jennings, Nelson, Driver, Jones, Cobb, Boykins (8 total)
TE: (4) Finley, Williams, Crabtree, Taylor (12 total)

RB:(4) Benson, Starks, Green, Saine (16 total)
FB:(1) Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhnnnnnn (17 total)

OT:(4) Bulaga, Newhouse, Sherrod, Barclay (21 total)
OG:(2) Sitton, Lang (23 total)
OC:(2) Saturday, D-Smith (25 total)

DT:(3) Raji, Pickett, Daniels (28 total)
DE:(3) Wilson, Worthy, Merling (31 total)
(Neal on the suspension list)

ILB:(5) Hawk, Smith, Lattimore, Francois, Manning (36 total)
OLB:(4) Matthews, Perry, Moses, Jones, So'oto (41 total)
(Walden on suspension list)

S: (4) Burnett, McMillen, Jennings, Richardson (45 total)
CB:(7) Williams, Woodson, House, Bush, Shields, Hayward, Ross (52 total)
(I put Woodson at CB because it sounds like the Packers are going to be in nickel and dime more than base)

STs:(3) Kicker, Punter, Long Snapper (55 total)

Well they could put Sherrod on the PUP list, to get it down one. There could be a guy or two going to the IR. Or there could be more cuts.

I saw somewhere (via my phone on afternoon apt) that Manning said he was ATL bound in a Tweet

Right now I would guess that Gurly and Levine (not eligible anyway) do not make it through the waiver claims.

My guess at Players cut but signed for the Practice Squad are:

Datko
Genus
Coleman
Guy ??
Ross ??

So far.

In the end I don't see GB being about to keep more than 3 or 4 of their TC players on the PS.

I say

Coleman IF they don't keep him on the 53 man roster. And as of now I think they will have to keep him or lose him.
Datko (as I have said since April. let's see if if he sticks.)
Borel and Moss
Tyler, maybe. he may not want to stay in GB.
Merrill
Richardson if they end up releasing him.
Merling if they end up releasing him.

Despite some recent speculation that Packers tailback James Starks might be on the roster bubble in Green Bay, Bill Huber of Packer Report reports that Starks’ roster spot is “safe” as final cuts approach.

Word is it's Benson, Green and Starks.

I'd love to see them keep Saine. And put Tyler on the PS.

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
