If Ted Thompson does not even put out a feel for Gonzo, he is a complete idiot IMO.

Everyone remembers the Dallas game right? Does everyone remember who kept moving the chains? I'll give u a hit, it wasn't TO.

3rd and 6, short pass to Witten FIRST DOWN!.... musta happened 10 times.

having Gonzo on this team would give us a ton of balance. There are only so many things you can do going 4-5 wide, having more balance is the key to our offense... specially now that we don't have an All-Pro QB back there that has seen ever defense there could ever be.

No, I don't want to see money spent on a guy who will only be around for a year or so. Its a waste IMO. Not that TG is a waste, but the guy isn't going to be round for much longer.

I would love to have a guy like Witten, unfortunately there aren't many guys like that around this league.

We have decent TEs. Gonzalez would be a HUGE improvement. Lee is ok compared to other starting TEs but Gonzalez is in the top 5.

It's not like we don't have the money to afford it. That cap space doesn't accrue, use it or lose it. The larger question is how does he fit in McCarthy's plans? Several others have already mentioned we're throwing less to the TEs this year. Does Gonzalez change that, or is this a decision based on needing more blocking up front? Ideally, this would turn into a Keith Jackson situation, but we have more pressing needs on the defensive side of the ball right now.

We might be able to get him for a 2nd rounder (like the Chargers did with Chris Chambers last season). But for that price, I'd prefer Lito Shepherd.
