Good points also, Digga.

One more hit to AR (which we KNOW there will be LOTS more the one with the way the O-line is playing) and he could be gone for the year.

Hopefully not for the season but even if he has to leave the game a few times this year. MM will be less likely to put Flynn in there when Rodgers is hurting though he needs to sit because of the pain. Following Favre, you can bet that Rodgers will play with whatever pain he has to in order to show he is tough. I dont want to have Rodgers leave in a tie game in the 3rd quarter and get blown out because we have a rookie who is lost out there.

Let these rookies sit for a couple of years like Rodgers did. Have the balls to cut or trade Brohm if in fact Flynn is better. I just dont get the logic of having 2 rookie backup quarterbacks when you have a 1st year starter. Are we grooming rookies to replace Rodgers? Or are our backups in place to help us win a game or two(vet) if we need him to and (ONE) young guy to keep on the roster as an emergency qb who we are also trying to see if he can develop into a really good qb to replace the starter in case he doesnt pan out. Sorry for the run on sentence. Am I totally off base or what?

I agree with you completely. I can't remember a contending team ever going with a first year starter and rookie backups. That's typically something you see from a team rebuilding. In that regard, I don't think t.t. has positioned us well for the possibility of losing Rodgers to injury.

He rolled the dice. I think he's lucky Rodgers only has a sprain and might be able to play, but this should also be a wake up call. Hopefully someone gets in here sooner rather than later.

I think I start to believe that the Favregate is hunting Ted Thompson in unexpected ways.
Now everything he does seem to be wrong

- Trading Corey Williams
- Draftin Harrell
- Keeping only 4DTs in the roster
- Frost x Ryan swap

The trade with Corey Williams was considered a smart move because everyone knew that Williams was going to command a LARGE salary that he did NOT deserve and he's proving that.

Harrell, I'm siding with BUST on this guy, but I say to give three years so I have to wait a third year on the bench before I can publicly say he's a bust.

Only four DTs? How many are normally kept? 4 DE and 5 DT?

I didn't quite get the move with Jon Ryan until I actually researched it and found out how NOT good he was doing, but its looking like Frost ... is NOT the answer.

WTH is the deal with all the injuries? The curse of Brett Favre?

"IronMan" wrote:

Actually, I think this might be the Madden curse. They tried to kill the curse by putting Brett on the cover after he retired...maybe the curse wasn't actually meant for the player but the team...or maybe because Brett was retired at the time, the curse transferred to the team uniform he was wearing.

Ya ya I know, sounds crazy as he*#,

I think it was Reggie who had the torn bicep in the playoff game when he said he was done, and then he said god healed him and he was in(played great too). I think Gilbert had a torn pectoral muscle that played with one year but i'm not sure.
