I won't dog the guy but I won't shower him with praise either. We haven't taken a step back with him in there, and as a rookie coming back from injury, I will find that to be fine enough. Let's see what the kid can do.

So that makes Sean Richardson taller, Bigger and Faster.

When I watched pre-season games, #28 was always at the ball, it was unreal. That was I believe the 2012 pre-season. I like him because he's bigger and faster than our other options and hasn't proven to be a lost cause. He has good potential and I'd rather see him starting than contributing on special teams. At least if he makes a mistake he has some speed to cover it up ala Sam Shields, although not world class speed.

Oh and my favorite part about Sean Richardson ... his tackling!

He was a teammate of Casey Hayward at Vanderbilt, and as you mention here, has great size and decent speed for the position. How was Ted supposed to know he would injure his spine C5-6? The guy has come back from surgery to repair that, and he looks to be playing fairly well for just 3 weeks in or so.

We have won two very important games with him coming in for MF Jennings.

As far as Richardson I look at him like another Hayward or Banjo or Hyde. A guy that has shown enough potential to get us excited but hasn't done enough to finish us off (I'm kinda sticking with that shower with him theme if you can't tell) He, along with the others I mentioned may well end up being very important and very good players but it is still too early to tell.

Not that this is a bad thing. I'd rather have players that get me excited (I'm talking about football now) than not but I am going to temper my excitement knowing that we have had lots of guys come in and do the same thing only to disappear from memory next year.
