If (Green Bays quarterback situation) does not work out, (Ted Thompson and Aaron Rodgers) will both be gone. Thats how much resentment there is (on the Packers board of directors). With every win (Brett) Favre has and every loss that Rodgers has, there is pressure to get (Thompson) out. Its a shame, because Ted is pretty damn good at what he does. He may not be the best, but he is one of the best in the business. He takes a very systematic approach and built a nice, young team.

Um, wow. If true, then that's just wrong.

Rodgers alone has by far NOT been the problem. He's looked the part so far, and quite frankly that bodes real well for the long-term success of the Packers.

If, and I stress "if", this tidbit is accurate, I have to question the Board of Directors being short-sited and quite frankly putting emotions smack dab in the middle of business, obscuring them to the fact that Ted has done a pretty fine job. He definitely doesn't deserve to be fired.

The board of directors needs to do what Harlan asked them to do when he was brought in, stay OUT of the football side of things.

This is audibles which comes from scouts, coaches, and other front offices personnel around the league.

In other words this is the belief around the NFL. It's not necessary the beliefs of the board. The only thing that matters is what the board believes and not what another GM or front office guy believes. I don't think Ted's future is in jeopardy right now.

I would say that the quarterback situation has already "worked out". Despite no offensive line help - he's performed like a champ. He's young, he's mobile and he's got a great arm. He's also played when he's injured.

No one can replace Favre - but so far, Rodgers has done a helluva job following him up.
