"Our defense played their butts off tonight," Cobb said. "We did nothing for them. It was kind of embarrassing as an offense, embarrassing myself the way I played.

"I have to do more, I have to give this team more. I have to look in the mirror first and see where it is that I can do to help this team out."

Through three games, Cobb has 14 catches for 126 yards (9.0 average) and three touchdowns. His scores have come from 3, 1 and 6 yards and he only has one catch for 20 or more yards.

"I have to look myself in the mirror and do a better job of creating separation and getting open and giving Aaron somewhere to throw the ball," he said.

I said in the preseason, Cobb just didn't look the same as past years... some said it was just the preseason play and saving himself for real games... but he still hasn't seemed to step back up to his normal level of play.

I wonder if he fully mentally and physical recovered from his injury last year... or if the contract year thing is on his mind... or what's going on...

But I'm glad Cobb is at least taking notice and hoping this gets him going... Daniels opened talked that he didn't like his game against the Seahawks and stepped it up against the Jets... hopefully the same happens for Cobb.

Also if the Packers WRs/TEs aren't going to step up... can we at least use Janis' deep speed as a decoy? The year the Packers won Super Bowl, Finley got injured and MM tried using Quarless like Finley, when he found out that wasn't going to work, he used Quarless' speed as a decoy to get the Safeties deeper and use WRs on crossing patterns underneath to get some easy pass plays...

And he can be a return back-up (if he's not a starter which he might be on kickoff returns).

Randall Cobb looked quite good on that fateful play vs. the Bears in the season finale last year.

He was quoted as saying after the Niners loss that he was going to spend the offseason getting stronger so he wouldn't get tackled so easily as he couldn't quite get into the endzone at a key time in the Niners loss in the playoffs.

The guy saw Jordy get paid...I'm sure he wants his, too. He's been nothing but a team guy and consummate professional. Athletes are insecure people... pay the guy.

Sadly, outside of Jordy who do we have in the passing game this year? NOBODY. Boykin has been brutal...Cobb not producing...Adams a rook and no TE. Our RB's aren't huge in passing game. Who is Rodgers going to throw it to? JORDY. That's about it. Get Janis in the game. Get some infusion of something... speed would be nice. Some rookie fire.

It is time to see some focus and determination or this season is over. Does anyone disagree that it's likely over at 1-3 even though we're not in a very good divsion?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I think the problem would be Cobb/agent would want to get paid for Cobb's potential and Packers would rather pay for what he has shown or what he's currently doing... which isn't the same as his potential.

And the 2012 Packers started 2-3 and finished 11-5 with the Division Title. And 2004 it was 1-4 before turning it around and won 6 in a row and made it into the playoffs with a wild card spot. So it's possible the make it back to the playoffs.

Besides hopefully they're not going to lose to the Bears next week 👅

If the Packers can get pressure on Cutler maybe he's turn into the old Cutler we love... throwing INTs to the Packers [happy]

The issue with poor line play is that it makes everyone look bad, so only makes sense that (some) people are losing their minds and blaming everyone.

If you want to blame anyone besides the OL - blame the coaching staff. Everyone has made their fair share of mistakes, but the offensive playcalling has had me scratching my head#-o

It seems NONE of our WR's are getting open. Combine that with AWFUL pass protection, and you end up with what we have been seeing.

Can we get Jennings and Jones back???? (I know we can't).

When a game goes like this I would prefer to see a chip block by the rb and then get someplace for an outlet for Rodgers. This means Rodgers has to give up holding the ball as long as he likes but it would mean more positive plays vs. sacks and incompletions.

You know the D got to Stafford every bit as much as they got to Rodgers but Stafford seemed to have someone to get the ball out to and created more positive plays then we did.

The other thing I see is McCarthy has some phobia for running a crossing route. I think Cobb could come short across the field with a TE or somebody crossing and find an open area where he actually got the ball in stride. Maybe they happen but I rarely see any crossing routes run by our receivers.

It's hard to produce YAC when your running a pattern that takes you out of bounds, is thrown over the back shoulder, or when the receiver gets to an open zone area and "sits'. Nothing wrong with any of these and Rodgers can make all these throws but getting the ball to these receivers in full stride a little more often would be nice.
