MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Observed and heard in the locker room after the Green Bay Packers' 27-24 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium:

Nothing torn: Cornerback Sam Shields limped out of the Packers locker room in pain but relieved that the initial diagnosis on his left knee injury is that nothing was torn. The weird thing about Shields' injury was how it happened. He was lining up in coverage when he went down before the first snap of the Dolphins' final drive of the third quarter.

I'm more concerned about Lattimore and Tramon.

Frankly, we can survive without Shields. Arguably we may be better off with a CB who isn't prone to looking into the backfield too much.

Brad Jones performance today pretty much confirmed he should not be starting. Jones vacates / gets pushed out of his gap too easily, and has problems with missed tackles.

I'd also like to avoid Bush at CB as much as possible. Tramon is pretty sound fundamentally, and probably the best at anticipating routes in our secondary. Hopefully both Lattimore and Tramon will be alright.

Shields is our speed guy though.

Looks like House and/or Hayward will get to showcase their skills for upcoming contracts. Hope Shields can get back soon.

No pattern I see, but you see things that most don't

Does losing Jumal Rolle hurt now? Bush is what he is. I agre with those saying Lattimore hurts more. Brad Jones should be cut.

All of these injuries are bad. They freaking suck. But this is what happens in the game of football. Next man up.
