Are you related to the OZ Scarecrow, he had no brain either .

The Packers keep loosing defensive personal. College CB's often move on to play Safety at the NFL Level.
ILB's that can tackle and drop into pass coverage and blitz are the center of the 3-4 .

Now go back to the Kiddie Table ! :cussing:

The Raiders signed Sean Richardson to an offer sheet, that means the Packers the option to match the offer or exceed the offer. If they do so, they retain Richardson. I for one hope they do because I like the kid.

It's an offer sheet.

Ted now has the chance to match it.
.
This is the way the system works.

The Raiders have set the price for Richardson, now it's up to Ted to decide whether he is worth the price.

Not a bad price, I would match it.

Let's see what Ted thinks.

With Banjo on the roster, Fanor who we signed in december, Hyde who can step in at safety and the draft coming up, I'd rather not spend my money overpaying mediocre safeties. That's more of a Raiders thing.

Ok, be upset with me, but I read the off the wall post and just can't help myself sometimes. Do some of you actually read and believe what your post ?

On the other hand, some post are quite intelligent and show focused thought .

Every off-season that I've been in online forums (4 years) , I've been precisely correct about The Packers needs. Also the "experts" back me up in their articles.

As a result it is not easy to read post that sound as if they were written by High School Dropouts on Drugs . I don't expect people to always agree with me, but at least explain the logic behind some of the completely wrong ideas that get posted .

I know a lot of people in here like (or used to like) Richardson. I was not among them. He always seemed to me to be that kind of big hitter/poor coverage kind of Safety I never cared for.

As was said, since we have Burnett, HHCD, Hyde, and Banjo, we don't need to match that offer for a mediocre ST player who hardly sees the field as a Safety.

The Packers do need to add depth at several positions, as do nearly every team. I like Sean Richardson and hoping the Packers match the offer.

Each team can have up to 90 players during the off season and right now the Packers have 60.

Quick count ...
9 DB
9 DL
12 LB
12 OL
2 QB
3 RB
3 TE
4 ST

$2.55M is 4 to 5 times as much as a younger guy would make. Richardson is a quality backup but I think he has reached his ceiling. I don't think Thompson is getting into a bidding war over him.

Now I see the Packers loosing ILB's and CB's , and magically determine that those positions will need to be filled. :signduh:

Before Lacey, I saw that The Packers needed a Running Back, when ALL cried that the passing attack was all that was needed .

Last off-season , I foresaw the greatest need at the safety position. Then appears Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the rescue. He will be more of a presence this season , following his rookie season.

I see the obvious and have the courage to speak the truth. That later I find articles penned by professionals that back up my case is just support for what I've been saying all along.

I say that the Packers Offense is in good shape for 2015, yet the Defense needs personal at the CB and ILB positions. In addition, faster/stronger Defensive non-starters will find Special Teams ready to welcome them to the squad.
