Monday Shane Ray was arrested for marijuana possession and Randy Gregory tested positive drug test at the combine. It's not the drug that is the bother here, but rather the timing of it all. If you can't keep your recreational habits under control until post draft at the latest, what does that say about your character?

Both are defensive ends that can rush the passer and I've seen mock drafts with them being plucked in the top ten.

If either or both fall to #30, which one do you want the Packers to take?

SHANE RAY, DE

Shuttle: 4.58

I'd be happy with either. I'm more worried about players dropping from health problems and violence than for being knuckleheads. Both of them I think are good enough to be worth the risk.

If either of them fall to #30, they are worth taking. I'd still think about trading down because the Packers have holes to fill and trading down would help do so. But I think either are substantially better than the others likely to be available.

I'd probably go with Gregory 51 percent of the time and Ray 49% of the time if both happen to still be there.

That said, I think it's all smoke. Both will be gone in the top 20 at the latest.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

It works for the BPA argument. OLB is not a position of need this year. But wouldn't it be nice to groom one of these 2 so that when/ if Peppers is gone after this year, there is a fill in ready?

But I too find it hard to think they will be available at #30.

I wouldn't take either of these guys. What I do like about this is that it potentially sets us up for a nice haul of draft picks. Seattle will be right after us, and they do take risks like this. A team in Round 2 is going to fear Seattle is going to pluck either one of them and might offer us a substantial package to move down.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

My bad...I completely forgot that Seattle shipped that pick for Graham.

That bothers me... Maxx Williams may be headed to Nawlins...not that Ted Thompson was going to take him anyway.

William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
