Yes, you can make windows 8 look exactly like windows 7. That being said, there is no advantage to upgrading to windows 8.

Win 8 is not terrible.. but teaching a old dog new tricks... blah.

Server 2012 is like it.. mostly functions the same way.. just the access points to get to things have changed to piss with you. Functions have changed or the interface doesn't always support functions like in the past.

The only part I really embrace.. I don't have to use the Exchange management shell as much.

Have 7 at work and 8.1 at home.... after you get used to it and adjust no difference for me. I will take the free 10 upgrade without a doubt. The big reason to upgrade for me is the security updates that close holes in each operating system's version.

For whatever reason, I am super excited about 10. Though, I can't figure out why they removed DVD Player software from 10...

I am an expired MCSE and I still can't get 8 to work right. You people are indoctrinated or something.

I know it's a shell, but when your computer will not allow you to even login, you can't fix anything on that computer... you gotta go to another one. Incredible, losing your computer password on an intermittent basis. It's not this Dell, (my gift to wife) this fucker runs just fine. It's high-end.
